    OT - Ideas for Naming a Christian Ladies Group
    Hi everyone,

    We have started a new ladies group at our church. It will be a bit of an umbrella for other activites. We have been trying to think of a catchy name but without success. Soooo....I thouhgt y'all might be able to help! THANKS!

    Our ladies' group is called LIFT (Ladies In Fellowship Together). We "Lift" up those in need. So, what might your group's main purpose be? That could get my brain started on some ideas.

    WALL- Women All Loving the Lord

    OK, I know some of these are lame, but they are spur-of-the moment. Maybe after I think a bit.....

    Our Church has 4 different women groups called Circles. They are each named for a outstanding woman of the church that has passed away. My group in called the Ada Smith Circle

    Great ideas! Keep them coming! We are still formulating our focus. We want to encourage fellowship time. As well as work on serving others. We have a group that will come under our umbrellas who is knitting items for babies. Also praying for those who have special prayer requests. We orgainzed and Easter brunch and are having a Ladies tea this weekend.
    Encouraging and serving others is a good general way to state our focus.

    How about "Agape". Our group was called the Agape Circle and we used the following definition:

    d. Is a caring love, one which becomes involved in the needs of others
    -- Perhaps the simplest definition is the one often given:
    "active good will" or "unconditional love."

    My Women in the Church (WIC) circle's name is Sisters in Faith. Others took names of women in the Bible...Rebekah, Sarah, Elizabeth, etc.

    HI! We once had trouble naming a group we were starting and couldn't decide on one either. What we did was, we called it "ITSA" Itsa, christian womens club. Then try to use the letters from "itsa" for the
    various other groups. Hope it goes well, Jane.
