We're having a punch & cookie reception for my boss this Friday evening. I know there have been a lot of recipes posted for punch on this BB, but they all seem so sweet. Does anyone have one that isn't so sweet?

This one is very refreshing and very easy. I made it for a baby shower once. It's from TOH Annual Recipes 1998.

    Sparkling Berry Punch

    6 cups cranberry juice, chilled
2 cans (12 oz. each) ginger ale, chilled
    1/4 tsp. almond extract

Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl or pitcher. Serve immediately on ice. Yield: about 2 quarts. (can easily be doubled)

    Hi barb!

how are you doing neighbor? How are the grandchildren?

We like this easy recipe which might be just the thing you are looking for since it uses cranberry juice.

    Punch

    One bottle cran raspberry juice
One 2 liter bottle sprite or diet sprite

Mis together just before serving. You can also add sherbet if you wish, or a frozen ice ring with strawberries frozen in the middle. looks pretty!

This is the one I use whenever I have a shower or even a large party. I had one friend tell me that she was just going to stand by the punchbowl with a straw for the whole shower, lol!. It is easy, not too expensive and not too sweet.
    Punch
1 large can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 large can unsweetened apple juice
    1 liter Sprite or 7UP
Mix juices together and chill. Mix in Sprite just before serving. I usually mix a little together and freeze into an ice ring so it will not dilute too much.

I've just been asked for our "special" lemonade today. It is EASY.

    EASY SPARKLING LEMONADE

    1 - 12 ounce can lemonade
1 - 20 ounce bottle Squirt OR store brand grapefruit soda*

    Make lemonade according to directions.
Carefully add pop, and gently stir.
    Serve over ice.

*If Squirt/grapefruit soda is too tart, lemon-lime soda OR ginger ale OR 7-Up can be used instead.

We make the tart variation. This recipe is adaptable with the food coloring. Some people like the tart variation, others don't.

This punch has been very popular at weddings and graduations where BLUE was wedding or school color:

    BLUE PUNCH

    1 gallon water
    ½ cup sugar
    11 - 6 ounce cans lemonade
    1 Tablespoon blue food coloring
    1 teaspoon green food coloring
    12 - 12 ounce cans/bottles 7-Up
    ½ gallon pineapple sherbet, softened

Mix water, sugar, lemonade, and food coloring.
Just before serving: Add 7-Up and sherbet.

NOTE: If you want the punch rather tart, you can add Squirt OR grapefruit soda.

Thanks for the bump Kathy. I'm doing well, how about you? My grandkids are great too. I don't know if I told you, but my son & his wife had identical twin boys this past March. They are absolutely beautiful! They have also moved to Caledonia, so they are just around the corner from me now.

Anyway.... thanks so much everyone for your recipes. I'm copying them all & my co-workers & I can decide which one we'll use. They all sound delicous! Thanks again.
