  • COULD SOMEONE HELP IDENTIFY A ROOT VEGETABLE?
We are trying to figure out what kind of root vegetable was purchased for thanksgiving dinner..our ds did all the cooking but grandma purchased some of the ingredients he needed...she was supposed to get yams or sweet potatoes....she bought something that looked like a sweet potato but was white inside, had absolutely no taste and had a lot of bad spots in it..and this was bought in a small town, not a city...Any ideas...thanks for any help...

Sounds to me like it may have in fact been a white sweet potato. Yuck.

I don't suppose it was a parsnip? We have some other strange looking root vegetables at the farmer's market here - as we get things from all over the world.
