A local restaurant, Sonny's BBQ, serves one of the best cornbreads. They make it in mini loaves.

It is very moist and sweet with corn in it. It is not very gritty.

Any Tried and true recipes floating out there?

I am posting our favorite recipe, which is very moist. I thought it had sugar in it, but as you will see it doesn't. I checked a second recipe (very similar) and it called for 1/3 c sugar. I am sure you could add 1/3 c sugar to this recipe with great results.

    Corn Bread
    1 can whole kernal corn
    1 can creamed corn
    8oz pkg corn bread/mufin mix
    1 egg
2 T butter or margarine, melted
    1/4 t garlic powder
    1/4 t paprika
    (1/3 c sugar) *if desired

Combine all ingredients. Pour into greased 11x7 pan. Bake at 400 for 25-30 minutes.
