I'm suddenly hungry for something "peachy" and only have canned peaches on hand. I want something I can bake right now to have later on while watching TV. So I need help FAST please! Maybe something with a Bisquick topping???

    Peach Cobbler

    16 oz. peaches
    2 c. sugar ( may use less)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    pinch cinnamon
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. milk
    1 cup flour

melt butter in 8in. square pan. Dissolve 1 cup sugar with peaches. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar with milk. Pour batter mixture in melted butter. Place peaches on top. Bake at 400 for aprox. 30 min. For a large 9x13 cobbler, I double this recipe.

This was the recipe used for the buffet at the resturant I worked for.

I have made this, and it is quick and easy too. I think it probably came from the BB, but I don't know who. It is a little sweet, so you might want to cut back on the sugar.

    Peach Cobbler

    1 large can peaches
    1 stick margarine
    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup peach juice
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 teaspoons baking powder

Melt margarine in approximately 8 x 11 pan. Drain peaches and save juice. Place peaches over margarine. Mix all other ingredients, including 1 cup of the peach juice and stir well. Pour this over the peaches. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
I sometimes use a little less sugar, but you be the judge.

Thank you Karlos and Rodo, both of these look good. I printed both of them out and I'm going to the kitchen now to decide which one I'll make. DH and I will have a treat tonight (with maybe a little vanilla ice cream on top!!)
    Thanks again. :o)

This is from an old church cookbook I've had for 30 years - this dessert is delicious!

    Peach Crumble

1 can (1 lb. 13 oz) peach slices, drained
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. margarine

arrange peach slices in greased, shallow baking dish. blend remainig ingredients until crumbly. sprinkle over peaches.

Bake 375 for 25 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

    4-5 servings.

    yum!

I get request for this. Kinda embarassing its so easy. Its good too.

    Quick Peach Cobbler
2 cans or 1 qt peaches, sweetned
6 slices day old sandwich slice bread
    2 eggs, beaten well
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 stick margarine.

Place sliced peaches in greased baking dish. Trim edges off bread
slices. Cut bread in half. Place slices on top of peaches. Mix together eggs, sugar, cinnamon and melted margarine. Spread on top of bread slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. till light brown or how crisp you like it. Sometimes I add a little more sugar and sometimes I add a touch of nutmeg.
    Just whatever you like.
    I think I used a 9x13 dish.

This may be a little late for your craving tonight, but in the future... This is our family favorite. Enjoy! Pattie

    Easy Peach Cobbler
    1 stick of butter\marg.
    2 c. biscuit mix
    1 c. sugar
    1 1\2 t. vanilla
2 large cans slices peaches w\syrup

Melt butter and add to biscuit mix, sugar, milk and vanilla. Use electric mixer and blend for about one minute. Pour into an ungreased 13 x 11 pan. Place peaches over batter. Pour all of syrup from one can over peaches and part of second can. The more syrup, the longer it takes to cook and it will be very moist. If you like your cobbler dryer, don't use syrup from second can. Bake for about 60 min. at 350*.

Original recipe called for just one can of peaches. We added the second can so everyone would have lots of hot peaches with their ice cream, LOL.

    Peach Cobbler

    8 Tablespoons (1 Stick) butter
    1 Cup sugar
    3/4 Cup self-rising flour
    3/4 cup milk
One 28 oz. Can sliced peaches in syrup, undrained

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put butter in deep baking dish and place
in oven to melt. Mix sugar and flour; add milk slowly to prevent lumping.
Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in
syrup. Still do not stir; batter will rise to top during baking. Bake
    for 35 to 45 minutes.
Good with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Pattiedee, I think this sounds wonderful but did not see the amount of milk listed.  I figured it may be about  1 cup.  I would like to try it soon.  Thanks for posting.
