(((Nancy))) I sure hope you feel better soon.
Michelle, do you can your jams? I was going to try that this year and decided I didn't want to kill us off with botulism (sp? sorry, that way off...lol.) I wanted to do peaches & tomatoes. I read further, what is muscudine?
Redawna, I need help on planning out what to do with the back yard. I've looked at a lot of magazines, but don't want to get too carried away as dh doesn't want to mow around too much. That's too bad about your neighbors, they do have some growing up to do. They are still young though.
Belinda, I do understand about some alone time to get things done even without kids.
Ellie, what does dh do? (I'm sorry I'm so forgetful)
Nice to see you Sassy! People probably trust you, that's why they come to you at work.
Cathy, good luck on researching home schooling.
Hi Terri, we miss you!! Hope you can visit more soon.
Hi MDCrab2, do you have a favorite breakfast?
Hi Sue, have fun at your meetings.
Well, I think I caught up. Dh birthday is today so will stay off the computer most of today. We did enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean, but it wasn't great. Alway love Johnny Depp. Has anyone seen Beni & Joon? That is a good one for kids.
Have to run, everyone have a great Thurday.

    Good morning Friends

Just taking a break from school for a bit.

DS#1(age 7) wrote a birthday poem for his Grandpa in the card he made. It is absolutly hilarious.

    Have a good birthday

If you have a good birthday
you will have a good year
If you have a bad birthday
you will have a bad year
If you have a sad birthday
you will ahve a sad year
    SO have a good birthday.

    LOL

Nancy, are you feeling better today?

Cathy, how is the homeschool search going?

Patty, have you decided on a pattern? I check out quilt books at the library and sketch patterns I like in a notebook, along with the instructions. Scrap quilts are my favorites. Some day I want to make a denim quilt. I have a chair stacked up with old jeans just waiting.

Redawna, we were looking at our watermelon a couple days ago and the boys found one a little bigger than a softball. We are getting excited.

Hi Belinda, Nonnie,Sassy, Terri, Ellie,Jillie,Michelle,Mary and all who stop by.

The boys are beginning to bounce off the walls. Time to get back to work.

    Take care

    Hey everyone,

Nancy, glad that you are feeling better. I can't go on rides anymore either, even the swing at the park make me sick! Ewww! And I would have probably been sick at the smell of fish after day day of being ill!

Hi Leat, I have a few melons that look good so far but I know they may rot. Ah, but there is always next year! Cute poem!!!

Jill, Happy Birthday to your DH! Have a great day! Oh, do you want a patio in the back or more flower beds? I am like your DH, I hate mowing around things so that is why i have been putting a small brick edge around everything so that the mower can get to all the spots and I don't need tp pull out the weed wacker!

Michelle, I have the same question as Jillie! What is Muscudine? Hope you are having a great day!

    Hi Patty, have fun sewing!!!

Ellie, how is football this week?

Hi Sue, have fun at your seminar!

Hi Willow, I got your recipes yesterday! Hope you are having a good week and that things are starting to get easier.

Hi Terri, Cathy, Sassy, Nonny, Belinda, Mary, and everyone else who pops in!

DD way over did it last night and was pretty sore, I made her soak and then she used the Watkins Icey Cool Gel! She is going tonight but she will just watch as they are going over the test for tomorrow. But when she walk out of there tomorrow night with her orange belt all her aches and pains will have been worth it!

I picked about 30 cherry tomatoes yesterday, boy I can not wait to have a full sized garden next year!!!
    Carrot, peas, beets, zucchinni...

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Today I am not allowed to play on the beach or in the snow, its bad enough playing here! I got a whole lot of NOTHING done yesterday!!!

    Have a good one,

    Cinnamon Pecan Stuffed French Toast
From Gruene Apple Bed and Breakfast

8-10 cups of French Bread cut into 1 "cubes. Any combination of sweet breads/pastries may be used. We like to use leftover cinnamon rolls.
1 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese, cubed
    8 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk (light cream or a combination)
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup pecans, whole or chopped
    1/2 heavy cream for topping.
1/2 cup white sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    12-24 hours before serving:
Spray 9" X 13" X 2" with non stick baking spray. Layer bread/pastry cubes in pan, sprinkle cubed cream cheese and pecans on top of mixture. In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla and baking powder until well mixed. Pour over bread and cheese mixture and refrigerate until ready to bake.
    Preheat oven to 350°F.
Pour 1/2 cup heavy cream over mixture and sprinkle with sugar/cinnamon mixture and bake for about 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. We serve this with a praline sauce.

    Praline Sauce
    1/2 lb. butter
2 lb. bag light brown sugar
    2 cups water
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
In heavy saucepan melt butter. Add brown sugar and water. Cook until this mixture comes to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. Add sweetened condensed milk and bring to another boil.

    Mona Lisa Quiche

    2 deep dish pie shells
    1 lb. pork sausage
    1 large onion
    1 bell pepper
    1 sm. jar sliced mushrooms
    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    3 Tbsps. self-rising flour
1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk
    6 eggs

Crumble and brown the sausage with the onion and 1/2 of the pepper, chopped. Drain off excess grease. Add the mushrooms and put into the pie shells. Toss the flour with shredded cheese then layer this over the sausage mixture. With wire whip or a fork beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together. Pour equally into pie shells over the sausage mixture. Slice remaining bell pepper either length-wise and place in a pinwheel fashion on top or slice the bell pepper around thinly and place on top of each quiche. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes on a cookie sheet. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.

Greetings Friends!Oh this is going to be a good day!!!Just got off the phone with an irrate tenant..Seems like the neighbor (duplex) just got a pit bull!!Why is it that they want to talk with the "boss"..??After assuring them that tenants cannot have them, he calmed down. Now I have to get my assistant to serve the people with a "Notice to Perform"...Ugh..then keep up with follow thru. Why is it that people just want to challenge rules??? Vent Vent....

Sue~`Glad you had such a nice dinner. What a nice surprise from your son and "sis"!...

Isn't Muscadine a grape?? Or am I thinking of something else??

{{{Nancy}}}Hope you are feeling better.. I get a chuckle when I hear my DGD say "She thinks she will "hurl"...The use of words...

Happy schooling to all the kids..(and moms)

    Must run..they're "calling" me!!!Ugh

Leat, your sons poem is a keeper! I like it!

Jillie, Happy birthday to Dino! He shares the same day as my Aunt in Florida but she has Alzheimers and probably doesn't remember no matter how many times her family says HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Kalby, I know your DD is aching but the pain will be worth it. Especially if she ever has to defend herself.

Sassy, I've heard up hurl b4 too lol. Oh there's so many but since we're talking about food I wont mention them lol.
I really don't understand why someone would get a dog when they know the landlord doesn't allow one. And a pit bull no less!
