  • Make Your Own Rotisserie Seasoning
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Dash each of garlic powder and ground clobes

Use in place of prepared rotisserie seasoning.

Rub seasoning over large frying chicken, 3 1/2 pounds. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Place on rack, breast side up. Roast until internal temperature is 160 derees, about 50 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.

I also use this seasoning to pre-cook ribs in my 6-quart Nesco roaster, and then finish cooking on the grill.

WalMart uses Lowery's Seasoned Salt alone or adds lemon pepper or barbecue seasoning. I stood and watched the guy get the chickens ready for the rotisserie.
