Hoss's Stuffed Pepper Soup

    Hoss's Stuffed Pepper Soup



    2 pounds ground beef

    1 can (28-ounce) tomato sauce

    1 can (28-ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained

    2 cups cooked converted white rice

    2 cups chopped green pepper

    2 beef bouillon cubes

    1/4 cup packed brown sugar (I use less, about 1/8 of a cup instead)

    2 teaspoons salt

    1 teaspoon pepper



    In a large saucepan, brown beef; drain. Add remaining ingredients; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until peppers are tender. Makes 10 servings. Enjoy!

    I made stuffed peppers the other night, and now wish I hadn't. I will attempt to save this and make it in a couple of weeks, but, if I print it, I will just lose it, so I am going to try to remember to just look it back up. I am sure my 11 y.o. will eat all 10 servings of this one.

    You might want to make the recipe according to Hoss's and then see if you like it. This was a recipe I submitted and I cut back on the brown sugar, because it seemed too sweet for my family's tastes. So you might not want to alter it until you taste it for yourself.
