    APRICOT-GLAZED CHICKEN BREASTS


    1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    1/2 cup apricot preserves

    1 Tbsp. soy sauce

    6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1-1/2 lbs.)

    2 medium zucchini, sliced

    1 medium red or green bell pepper, sliced

    Hot cooked rice




    1. In small bowl, thoroughly combine Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix, preserves and soy sauce; set aside.

    2. In broiler pan, without the rack, arrange chicken, zucchini and red pepper; top with soup mixture. Broil, turning once, 10 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve over hot rice.


    FOOD NOTE: For a different flavor, try substituting peach preserves for apricot preserves.

    BUFFALO POTATOES


    1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    1/3 cup Shedd's Spread Country Crock ® Spread, melted

    1 to 2 Tbsp. cayenne pepper sauce

    4 medium baking potatoes, sliced lengthwise into wedges (about 2 lbs.)

    Wish-Bone ® Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing




    1. Preheat oven to 450°. In large plastic bag or bowl, add all ingredients except Dressing. Close bag and shake, or toss in bowl, until potatoes are evenly coated.

    2. In 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan, arrange potatoes; discard bag.

    3. Bake, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes or until potatoes are crisp. Serve with Wish-Bone Dressing.

    CHEESY GARLIC CHICKEN


    4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1-1/4 lbs.)

    1 medium tomato, coarsely chopped

    1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    1/3 cup water

    1 Tbsp. Bertolli® Classico™ Olive Oil

    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz.)

    1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese




    1. Preheat oven to 400°. In 13 x 9-inch baking dish, arrange chicken and top with tomato.

    2. In small bowl, blend Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix, water and Olive Oil. Pour over chicken.

    3. Bake 20 minutes. Top with cheeses and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and chicken is thoroughly cooked.


    RECIPE TIP: Turn leftover Cheesy Garlic Chicken into a quick and delicious lunch or dinner. Simply heat and serve on hot store-bought garlic bread.

    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

    1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

    1 medium zucchini, sliced

    1-1/2 cups sliced fresh or drained canned mushrooms

    1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    3/4 cup water

    2 tsp. prepared Dijon-style, Country Dijon-style or brown prepared mustard




    1. In 12-inch skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat and cook chicken 5 minutes or until almost done, turning once; remove and keep warm.

    2. In same skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat and cook zucchini and mushrooms, stirring frequently, 3 minutes. Return chicken to skillet; stir in Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix blended with water and mustard. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 5 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. To serve, arrange chicken on serving platter and top with sauce mixture.

    COUNTRY CHICKEN STEW WITH DUMPLINGS


    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil

    3- to 3-1/2-lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces (with or without skin)

    4 large carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces

    3 ribs celery, cut into 1-inch pieces

    1 large onion, cut into 1-inch wedges

    1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    1-1/2 cups water

    1/2 cup apple juice

    Parsley Dumplings (optional)*




    1. In Dutch oven or 6-quart saucepot, heat oil over medium-high heat and brown 1/2 of the chicken; remove. Repeat with remaining chicken. Return chicken to Dutch oven. Stir in carrots, celery, onion and Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix blended with water and apple juice. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 25 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked and vegetables are tender.

    2. Meanwhile, prepare Parsley Dumplings. Drop 12 rounded tablespoonfuls of batter into simmering broth around chicken. Continue simmering covered 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of dumpling comes out clean. Season stew, if desired, with salt and ground black pepper.


    *Parsley Dumplings: In medium bowl, combine 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley and 1/2 teaspoon salt; set aside. In measuring cup, blend 2/3 cup milk, 2 tablespoons melted margarine or butter and 1 egg. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture just until blended.


    *Variation: Add 1 pound quartered red potatoes to stew with carrots; eliminate dumplings.

    1 large onion, sliced

    1/2 cup dry white wine or water

    1 cup sliced carrots

    1 medium zucchini, sliced

    1 small red or green bell pepper, sliced

    2 cups water

    1-1/3 cups (8 oz.) couscous, cooked*




    1. In 12-inch skillet, melt Spread over medium-high heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until golden. Add wine and boil 1 minute. Stir in carrots, zucchini, red pepper and Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix blended with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. To serve, spoon over hot couscous.

    1 small onion, finely chopped

    1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    2 Tbsp. Bertolli ® Classico ™ Olive Oil

    2 Tbsp. lemon juice

    3-1/2-lb. roasting chicken




    1. In large plastic bag or bowl, combine onion and Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix blended with Olive Oil and lemon juice; add chicken. Close bag and shake, or toss in bowl, until chicken is evenly coated. Cover and marinate in refrigerator, turning occasionally, 2 hours.

    2. Preheat oven to 350°. Remove chicken and marinade to 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan. Arrange chicken, breast side up; discard bag.

    3. Bake, basting occasionally, 1 hour 20 minutes or until meat thermometer reaches 180°.

    12 thin slices French bread

    1 clove garlic

    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil

    2 lbs. carrots, sliced

    1 lb. bulb fennel, trimmed, halved, cored and sliced or 2 ribs celery, sliced

    1 small onion, chopped

    1/4 cup dry white wine or water

    1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix

    2 cups water

    1 dozen little neck clams, well scrubbed

    1 lb. uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined

    1/2- lb. firm white fish fillets (such as cod or halibut), cut into 1-inch pieces




    1. On broiler pan, arrange bread slices. Broil bread, turning once, 1-1/2 minutes or until golden brown. Rub one side of each bread slice with garlic; set aside.

    2. In Dutch oven or 6-quart saucepot, heat oil over medium heat and cook carrots, fennel and onion, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Stir in wine. Bring to a boil over high heat and continue boiling 1 minute. Stir in Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix blended with water; return to a boil. Add clams; reduce heat to medium and cook covered 3 minutes or until clams begin to open. Add shrimp and fish; continue cooking covered 1 minute or until shrimp turn pink and fish flakes. (Discard any unopened clam shells.) Serve with garlic toast. Makes about 4 servings.


    FOOD NOTE: Bouillabaisse is a seafood stew that originated in Provence, France. It is traditionally served with crusty French bread.

    18 chicken wings (about 3 lbs.)

    1/2 cup water

    2 to 3 tsps. hot pepper sauce (optional)*

    2 Tbs. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter! ® Spread




    1. Cut tips off chicken wings (save tips for soup). Cut chicken wings in half at joint. Deep fry, bake or broil until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.

    2. Meanwhile, in small saucepan, combine Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix, water and hot pepper sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in Spread.

    3. In large bowl, toss cooked chicken wings with hot soup mixture until evenly coated. Serve, if desired, over greens with cut-up celery.


    *Use more or less according to taste desired.
