Well, at least I think so. I found this recipe years ago in a local church cookbook. My family loves this recipe. It's an easy weeknight dinner. I serve this on sesame seed buns along with French fries and a tossed salad.

1 lb. ground beef, season to taste, brown and drain
    1 C catsup
    2 tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. mustard
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/4 C water

After you brown and drain beef, add the remaining ingredients and simmer on med/low heat for 8 - 10 mns.

    Simple recipe, delicious meal!

Thanks. I like to try different recipes for sloppy joe's. The canned stuff is awful we think. I will probably add some diced celery and onions. Thanks again, Kim.

This sounds like the recipe we like, too. I add a little Liquid Smoke to mine, though.

    Thanks for sharing your recipe.
