  • No-Bake cookies using corn syrup
I'm looking for a no-bake cookie recipe that uses corn syrup. I had this recipe given to me in a high school home e.c. class and I've since lost it. If anybody has it I would really appreciate it thank you!!!

    Found these doing a search.

    1 cup white sugar

    ¼ cup butter

    1 cup corn syrup

    1 cup peanut butter

    6 cups corn flakes

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil. Remove from heat and add butter and peanut butter. Melt, pour over corn flakes. Mix together good. Spoon onto wax paper. Makes 50 cookies.

Note: These could be made with no sugar added by using a sugar substitute in place of the sugar and a no-sugar added vanilla syrup in place of the corn syrup.

    - Submitted by R. L. "Bob" Whitmyer

Eaton's recipe omits the butter and substitutes dark corn syrup. Her recipe should make almost triple the number of cookies of Whitmyer's.

    3 cups sugar

    1½ cups dark corn syrup

    3 cups peanut butter

    15 cups corn flakes

Combine sugar and syrup, and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and corn flakes. Mix well. Spread mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Cut into squares.

Was there a specific ingredient in these cookies, besides the corn syrup? Are they baked? I do have a few recipes, if you give me a few ideas, I'd be happy to post them. Linda
