  • Sour cream angel food cake
Would any happen to have a recipe for a sour cream angel food cake? I purchased one from my local grocery store and it was gone in one afternoon! The best tasting angel food cake I've ever had. Even my boys (8&4) loved it! I would like to try making them at home for my family.

    Thanks for your help!

Hi, Dena! Welcome to the BB!

Does the cake have sour cream IN it, or as a filling?

Here's another, but I don't think this is it either.

The sour cream was in the cake as an ingredient.

I have been cooking for a long time and have never seen a recipe for an angel food cake with sour cream. The only 'wet' ingredient in angel food cake is the egg whites.
I'm guessing that to get the sour cream flavor, the stores use a dry sour cream....think macaroni and cheese boxed mixes and that dry cheese only we are talking dry sour cream.
I too googled around and could not find a cake with sour cream in the batter. It sure sounds good.
