    I'm looking for a lemon cake recipe that uses a boxed cake mix, a can of lemon pie filling, eggs, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    recipe by Domestic Goddess

    A really delicious, moist cake with alot of lemon flavor. Quick and easy to prepare.
    24 servings
    25 minutes 5 mins prep
    Cake Base
    1 (18 1/4 ounce) box duncan hines moist deluxe lemon supreme cake mix
    4 eggs
    1 (22 ounce) can lemon pie filling
    Frosting
    3 ounces softened cream cheese
    1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
    2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    In a large mixing bowl, add the 4 eggs; beat for at least 30 seconds.
    Add the lemon cake mix, mix until incorporated.
    Add the can of lemon pie filling; mix until blended well.
    Spread into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Cool before frosting.
    In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and confectioners' sugar until smooth (do not add milk).
    Stir in vanilla extract.
    Spread over cake; then refrigerate until frosting hardens up abit.
    Note: This recipe originally calls for (16 oz.) of a canned lemon pie filling, but I used a (22 oz.) can for the recipe.

    I found this on the Southern Living BB today. I have never seen it posted here before, but I may have missed it. It sounds intriguing. Anyone ever made it?

    LEMON PILLOW CAKE

    1 white cake mix
    1 can lemon pie filling

    Mix cake as directed on box and pour into a 9x13 pan. Place spoonsful of lemon pie filling in blobs over batter. Bake as directed on the box. Let cool completely. Cake batter covers blobs, so there will be pockets of lemony filling inside.

    FROSTING
    1 can ready to spread lemon flavored frosting
    1 tub of Cool Whip

    Mix frosting and Cool Whip together and spread on cake. This does need to be kept refrigerated.

    LEMON SHEET CAKE

    Serves: 24-30
    Source: Taste of Home June/July 2003 pg. 17
    Effort: easy
    Comments: Very light and refreshing

    INGREDIENTS:
    1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) lemon cake mix
    4 eggs
    1 can (15.75 oz.) lemon pie filling
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (I used real butter)
    2 c. confectioners’ sugar
    1 1/2 t. vanilla extract

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    In a large mixing bowl, beat the cake mix and eggs until well blended. Fold in pie filling. Spread onto a 15x10x1” baking pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray.
    Bake at 350º for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on rack.
    In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
    Spread over cake. Store in the refrigerator.

    Lemon pillow cake is my "go to" emrgency cake! I keep a box of lemon cake mix & a box of instant lemon pudding( I use this instead of pie filling) plus I always have cream cheese for frosting so its easy & yummy!

    Cream Cheese
    Strawberry Cool Whip

    I jjst made this and it was good.

    1 bx Angel Food Cake Mix
    1 egg
    1 can lemon pie filling (says 18 oz--I used 15 oz)
    1 cup coconut

    Mix altogether.
    You put batter in a bottom only greased 9x12 pan and cook 25 to 30 minutes.

    Sift confectioners sugar over while still warm.
