We used to buy a soup from Campbells called Noodles and Ground Beef. I can't find it anymore. Do any of you know if it was discontinued? My husband really liked it.

I believe it was discontinued. You might try this and see how close it was to the one that you liked.

    Ground beef Noodle Soup

    1 lb ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 C frozen peas
    2 C V-8 juice
    1 C beef bouillon soup
    1/4 t dried basil
    1/4 t dried marjoram
    1/2 t. dried parsley
    1/8 t pepper
    1 bay leaf
1 can cream of celery soup
8 oz noodles, cooked almost done and drained (experiment with the amount that makes it good for you)

Brown ground beef and onions, drain off fat. Stir in rest of ingredients except noodles; heat to boiling. Stir in noodles, reduce heat and simmer for 10 mins, stirring occassionally. Remove bay leaf.

    Hello, lcdream,
I went over to the Campbell's web site and found some interesting things including a soup called "Beef Noodle" I couldn't tell if it was ground beef or not. Let me tell you how to find it: Here is the website

    http://www.campbellsoup.com/default.aspx

when you get there click "shop" (on the left)
When you get to next page, click "Launch Netgrocer"
Click that again on the next page, to.
This takes you to a shopping site. Click on "Soups, Hard to Find" (on the left) and there you are. You'll find the Beef Noodle soup, also Tomato Rice soup which I've been looking for for eons (and I thank you for this question which encouraged me to look!) Also Cream of Shrimp soup which can be so handy and a number of others. If anyone has been missing a favorite soup, it just may be here!

This is amazing! Noodles and Ground Beef was my favorite as well. We used to be able to buy it in CT, but haven't seen it in years there or where we live now. Perhaps you could go on Campbell's website and see if it's still made.

Yes, it's no longer made. My husband works in a grocery store and can't get it any where. It was also my favorite. So if you do ever find any, make sure and check the sell by date as it's probaly out of code.

I loved this soup so much too. Actually I lost 20 lbs eating this soup and dropped two sizes. I have no idea why they dropped it. Everyone in my family loved it, Hey Campbells bring it back please!!!!

That is really weird.......... It was my favorite soup too, I grew up with it as my parents liked it.  I could have lived on that stuff and then it was gone, Have looked everywhere and I esp think of it when it turns cold.  Another product was Watsons bean magic, just add a spoon full with a can of pork and beans, They don't make that anymore either.  Good food memories, thanks... now makes me hungry!

I used to love this soup so much, too. It was my favorite Campbell's soup as a child. Yesterday I put together a home-made version which I think comes pretty close.

Faux Campbell's Noodles & Ground Beef Soup (Makes approx. 8 servings)

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 49.5-oz can of chicken broth
    • 1 14.5-oz can of beef broth
    • 1 14.5-oz can of diced tomatoes
    • 1 c carrots, finely diced
    • 1/2 diced onion
    • pepper to taste
    • 2 c wide egg noodles
    • 2 c narrow egg noodles

Brown ground beef in a large pot, breaking up into tiny bits. Add broth, tomatoes and raw vegetables. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the carrots are cooked through. Add pepper to taste, and the noodles. Bring to a boil and cook until the noodles are cooked to desired doneness.
