Melt butter in microwave safe bowl. Add sugars and let cool a bit. Add eggs, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Add flour and mix. Then add craisins and rolled outs, mix well. The dough will be quite stiff. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet, 12 to a sheet. Bake at 350 for 12 - 15 minutes. Cool on sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to rack until cool.

    YIELD: 10 - 12 dozen

    Note: these freeze well.

Melt butte and add white sugar. Then add eggs. Stir it all up with the vanilla, cherry juice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add chopped pecans and flour and mix well. Crush the cornflakes and put into a small bowl. Roll doug balls with your hands about the size of an unshelled walnut. Roll balls into the crushed cornflakes. Place 1 dozen on a greased cookie sheet. Cut the cherries into quarters and place on top of each cookie. Press the cherry down with the tip of your finger. Bake at 375 for 10 -12 minutes. Cool on sheet for 2 min then remove. Yield 6- 7 dozen.

Chris - this is a series of mysteries written by Joanne Fluke. The main character is a baker and runs a cookie shop and is a part time sleuth. There are always several recipes included in the book. These books are a fun and light read.

    Red -
You're a huge asset to the BB. I love all your threads. Now, thanks to you I've learned about a new author. I already read the Diane Mott Davidson books and learned about the Jill Churchill books from this BB. These kinds of books are just fun to read.
    Thanks for all you do.
