Does anybody have a recipe for the tartar sauce they use on their fish filet?? We even have used it for our fries!! My husband fishes Lake Superior in the summer and we'd love to be able to make this at home!!

I too happily admit to my membership in the Fries in Tartar Sauce club. :)

Yes I do have a copy of this "copycat" recipe in my files... although I'd have to search for it. LOL. I just happen to be online at midnight looking up quantum theory and quantum method... and I have NO IDEA WHY - so I think I'll do a quick search for you to see if it's online. If not, I can copy it for you maybe tomorrow. ;)

    McDonalds... forgot the "l"... sigh.
I'll blame it on the fact that it's late. ;)

I also LOVE there tartar sauce....I always ask for a side of it for my fries....(DH thinks I'm sick!LOL)

This is the best recipe I have that is closest to it. After I started making this, I NEVER bought tartar at the store again!!

    Katie's Killer Tartar Sauce

1 quart mayonnaise (I like heavy duty mayo best...then the pickles and their juice don't make the sauce too runny!)
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    3/4 cup finely minced onion
1 cup finely chopped kosher dill pickles
    1/2 tsp. black pepper

Whisk all ingredients together in glass bowl. Storage in tightly sealed container overnight or at least 4 hours before serving in fridge.
