I found a recipe for Lepp cookies (even a small batch) and tried them last year. They were so good but no one at my house at them except me. Not sure if I will be making them this year.
Thanks for the offer! I appreciate it.

Lep Cookies:2 eggs1 c. brown sugar1 pint molasses1 t. ground cloves1 t. ground anise1 t. aniseed1 c. sour cream1/2 lb. blanched slivered almonds1 t. soda1 c. chopped citron peel1 c. chopped mixed peel7 c. flourTopping: Egg white with a bit of waterWhole or split almondsMix all except flour together and heat to lukewarm on the stove in heavy pot or double boiler. Stir in flour whenwarm (not hot). Put mixture in a cool place for a day or two. The dough will then be stiff enough to roll. Divide into 4 sections and wrap each well and chill until theyare stiff. When ready to bake them, Slice rolls 1/4 inchthick and bake on greased cookie sheet for about 10minutes. They will be crisp at first and become chewylater. These keep fresh tasting a very long time.
