I am looking for a recipe that uses yellow cake mix and crushed pineapple. Not a dump cake.
Better than Sex Cake1 box yellow cake mix1 (20 oz) crushed pineapple (I use the one in heavy syrup)1 c sugar1 (6 oz) instant vanilla puddingcool whipcoconutCook cake according to package directions. Bake in 9X13" pan. Cool. Mix pineapple and sugar. Cook until it starts to boil. Cool slightly. Poke holes in top of cake with a fork. Pour pineapple mixture over cake. Mix pudding according to package directions. Spread over pineapple. Chill. Spread with cook whip and sprinkle with coconut and decorate with pineapple slices if desired.
This has been on my 'to try' list. I haven't made it yet, but sure sounds good.
Pineapple Pistachio Sour Cream Cake
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix 1 small box pistachio instant pudding mix 4 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt or tube pan.
Combine pineapple with juice and baking soda. Mix well.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix and remaining ingredients. Add pineapple mixture. Blend. Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Do not under-bake. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Finish cooling on rack.

No Latinrose what I am looking for is a recipe to use a yellow cake mix where you put the pineapple in with the cake mix. Maybe there is no such thing maybe I am just hoping But thankyou so much for trying to help me. Maybe someone out there has such a cake that they have tried. I will keep hoping.

1/2 c water1/3 c rum

Lick Your Lips Cake
1 box yellow cake mix (18.25 ounce) 3 eggs 1 can mandarin oranges (11 ounce) 1 can crush pineapple with juice (16 ounce) 1 tub whipped dessert topping (12 ounce) 1 package vanilla instant pudding (4 ounce)
Mix cake mix, eggs, and mandarin oranges for 2-3 minutes at medium speed. Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated 350° F. oven. Set aside and let cool completely. Combine crushed pineapple, dessert topping, and vanilla pudding mix. Mix well. Spread on top of cooled cake. Keep refrigerated.
Makes 1 - 9 x 13 inch cake

Heat oven to 350°. Beat eggs. Add pineapple and its juice and the cake mix. Beat on low speed just until moistened, then beat 3 minutes on medium speed. Pour into a greased or sprayed tube pan, two 8x8x4 loaf pans, or a 9x12 baking pan. Bake until the top springs back when lightly touched, about 55 minutes for the tube pan, 45 for the loaves, or 35 for the 9x12. Cool in the pan 10 minutes. Turn out and finish cooling on a rack. If a glaze is desired, spoon canned frosting onto the hot cake. It will melt and can be spread. May add chopped macadamia nuts if desired.
1 jiffy yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple drained
8 oz. cream cheese
2 cups milk
1 lg vanilla instant pudding
1 lg cool whip
make cake according to pkg directions. cool. mix cream cheese with milk add pudding mix and beat until smooth. spread over cake. spread pineapple over pudding mix. top with cool whip. refrigerate 8-24 hours before serving
I was just using grated coconut, I've never shred fresh. I got both recipes off this board I'm sure. Have the 2nd one I posted in the oven now,smells so good.I'm pretty sure I'm not going to frost it,think all the calories are in the frosting!(My idea of a joke)
