    Does molasses go bad?

    Hi I was about to make a new bbque recipe and it calls for molasses ;I have a jar that has been opened but I don't know how old it is ,I think it is from this past fall when I made baked beans.

    I have heard of it turning to sugar crystals but I have never heard of it going bad. Sorry I can't be more help.

    I've had molasses for years in my pantry~I don't use it that often.  I still use it and never have had any problems, so I wouldn't hestitate to use yours.
