I had a Ham Salad sandwich yesterday & it was SOOOOOO good!!! I asked the waitress to ask the chef what made it so special & he told her it was the 'Jamaican Relish' !! Now I google it & said it was only sold to food services...Sooo, does anyone have a recipe for this? I did a TOH search & it came up with 0.

There was no fruit in it. Tasted more like maybe red peppers &???? It wasn't sweet at all. It was ground ham, the relish & mayo...but OHHHH so good! No pickles either. no sour taste or onions...It did have a hint of heat, but just a hint....maybe Jalepeno's????? I know a restauranteer, I'll ask him if he can get it! Worth a try?

Thanks all for trying to help...I appreciate it.

Hi again, CardinalPuff!  Don't know if you will see this or not.  I learn so much here on the BB.   On KC someone was asking about Bell Peppers.  I didn't know people called what I know as Peppers, Mangoes.  When I think of Mango, I think of the fruit.  So the recipes calling for mango may be calling for peppers.  In my mind for one of the recipes that called for green mangoes, I was thinking under rippened mango fruit.  You may have already known all that!  Hope you end up finding what your looking for and hope you will share it when you do!

Thank you Bouncy Sue for the link & for your comments. I need to do more searching on that site. Here a pepper is a veggy & a mango is a fruit. There were bits of something RED in it, that is why I thought Red Pepper.????
