If you are familiar with Friendly's restaurant and know their chicken noodle soup, I'd love a recipe like that. It is not the clear broth type but more creamy, maybe the addition of half and half or something like that. If you have a recipe to share I would appreciate it! That is the best chicken noodle soup.

Buffetfan, I don't use a recipe, but here's how I make mine. Maybe it's similar because it is creamy. You can leave out the mushrooms if you'd like and it'll still be good.
First, brown some seasoned (pepper and seasoned salt) skinless, boneless chicken breasts in olive oil in a big pot. Take out the chicken when it's barely done, then put diced onions into the oil to brown. Add some chopped celery too. When the veggies are cooked, dump in some chicken broth and water. Add some chicken soup base (or bouillon). Dump in an undrained large can of mushrooms. Chop up the chicken and add it back into the soup. Slice a bunch of carrots and add it. Put in a can of cream of chicken soup or two. When it has simmered for an hour or two, add noodles. (I like to use homemade). Taste it for seasoning and add salt and/or pepper and/or more chicken base. When the noodles are done, so is your soup.
