May I stick in my two cents worth? Substitute mascarpone for the cream cheese - heaven!!! Also mix in any flavor of jam with the mascarpone or cream cheese. Much easier than pie filliing. Apricot is our favorite.

Gaudry ~ Thanks a million for your "Two Cents" worthSmile,,,,,,and saving me a few penniesYes

Your right about the mascarpone and the jam.....at least with the jam....I'd be able to use the rest on toast.....pie filling is quite expensive .....jam would be just as good and more economical......

feel free to ad your two cents anytimeWink

    Thanks ~

I bought the can of rolls the other day.....a different brand, a dollar cheaper.... so hope it tastes just as good.

You're right about the jam being less expensive and the possibilities for different flavors are endless. The mango is great and we also like to use jellies like Red Currant. We've used Apple Butter too but it takes less of that for us because it is very sweet. Homemade Apple Sauce is terrific. Enjoy experimenting and share your findings.
