This is from the Pillsbury website... ~~~~~ Deviled Crab PuffsPrep Time: 20 MinTotal Time: 1 HrMakes: 48 appetizersINGREDIENTS24 (3/4-inch) slices French bread baguette1 (5-oz.) jar sharp pasteurized process cheese spread1 tablespoon all purpose flour1 teaspoon dry mustard1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)6 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened2 tablespoons mayonnaise1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce1 garlic clove, minced1 (6-oz.) can crabmeat, drainedDIRECTIONS* Arrange bread slices in single layer on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil 4 to 6inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned on 1 side. Removefrom broiler. Turn slices over; cool completely.* Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine all remaining ingredients except crabmeat;mix until well blended and smooth. Stir in crabmeat.* Spread mixture on untoasted sides of bread, covering completely. Leavingslices on cookie sheet, freeze at least 30 minutes or until firm.* Cut slices in half crosswise; separately slightly. Broil frozen appetizers 4to 6 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until puffed, bubbly and lightlybrowned.If these appetizers broil too quickly, they will still be cold in the center; ifthey broil too slowly, the filling melts rather than puffs and the appetizersdon’t brown. Adjust the broiler rack as needed to get the optimum results.Prepared from start to finish, these appetizers require only a short freezingtime; however, they can be assembled up to one month ahead and stored in thefreezer. Be sure to broil them while they are frozen. Garnish the serving platter with fresh herbs and/or red bell pepper cutouts.
