Good Morning My BB Friends

Good morning all, I hardly got any sleep last night , up and down all night. Don't have a clue  as to why. I'm headed back to the salt mines,just hope the day flies by and I can come home and grab a short nap.Hope you all have a great day. Depo!!!

I joined you Depo on the no sleep night.  I was hot, cold and just could not find a good sleeping positiion.  I guess tonight it will be back to PM pills.

I need to go get my BP checked after being on new medication and then to the RV dealership for some weather stripping for one of the slide outs.  Maybe I will do laundry first before I head out.

Well, we woke up to a heat index of 81, with actual temps of over 100, not including the heat index.  I'm thrilled, but others...........well, not so much.  LOL  I got a bunch of housework done last night before I went to bed, but still have some left to do.  Other than that, not much on the schedule for today.

Depo - So sorry that you had one of THOSE nights last night.  I hope that you'll be back home napping in record time today.

Vera - A bad night for you too?  GRRR!  Thankfully it's a rare day when I see one of those.  Maybe you can find time to take a little nap too!  If you'd do my laundry, I could work on getting this house whipped into shape - how 'bout it?  LOL  I hope that all goes well with the BP and that it's picture-perfect!

Depo sorry you had a tough night. I was up around midnight, something I ate didn't like me.But did go back to sleep but woke up a couple times after. When it was time to get up I wanted to sleep!

Vera sorry you had a bad night also. Seems like the nights are long when you can't sleep.

Well going to work and get the week started. Wish we could get caught up but doesn't seem possible to get done. I think one of the guys goes to boot camp for guards to end of the week. Then we will be in trouble. Hope someone wants a job quickly.

Good morning all...Well it is a humid one this morning and we are heading up to 102º today. I am way sick of this weather. We need rain so bad. I feel for the farmer's this summer. The crops are not looking well at all.

Depo...I hope your day flies by and your home to catch that much needed nap! Nic pics of the family. I'm glad they stopped for a visit.

Vera...I was hot and cold too last night. One minute I'm throwing the covers off me and then the next minute scrabbling to find them because I'm cold. I hope tonight is better for sleeping.

Paulette...I should have cleaned this weekend, but I just didn't feel like it at all.....I'll pay for it next weekend. Enjoy your day!

Marlene....I hope your day at work goes well. I am hoping the same for mine....LOL. Monday's are always a rough one. I have to meet DS at the bank after work and then we are onto school to schedule classes for the Fall. I think I'll leave work about 2:00 or 2:30.

Marlene - My "job" starts too early in the morning to even attempt to get anything done most days.  I've learned that I have to get it done at night or it's not going to get done at all.   So how did the second new employee work out, is he still there?  It's very hard to find people that are willing to work these days, let alone willing to work HARD for their paycheck.  Hopefully someone will appear on their doorstep that's a perfect fit!

Sharon - How well I understand not doing housework on the weekends, Yuk!  During the summer months (my busy months work-wise), I try to get out of the house at least for one of the weekend days - I'd go crazy if I didn't.  Most weekends, housework takes a back seat to everything else and that's just fine with me.  LOL  Most of the farmers here have their irrigation systems cranked up and running non-stop these days, so the crops aren't looking too bad this year.  Who knows what another week of hot weather will do to them though.

Depo,  Sorry for your night.....especially when you have to work the next day.  Am I fired from my ironing job?  I didn't know if partying was an excused absence or not??

Vera,  I can't sleep when I'm hot or cold...that might be why we pay such a huge power bill.  I hope your travels are good ones today.

Paulette,  Oh, good grief....when I read your temps I felt oppressed immediately.  We are going to a 100, too.  There is just one difference here.....your are happy and I could puke.  Your working at night is perfect proof of your youth.  I tell you anymore, we go someplace we haven't been for a couple of months and there are new buildings and businesses everywhere.  I told DH, they build and start companies and I haven't even gotten my house cleaned since the last time we were through here......how depressing!!!!

Marlene,  Are you loving that new vehicle???  Does DH take flight today?  I would be eating everynight in town before I came home.....I would stop by the movie store afterward and have me a mini-vacation.

Sharon,  We're desperate for the rain here, too.  We were in your state yesterday and the crops do look worse there, than they do here.....ours don't look good.  Is your well holding up okay?  So far ours is down just a tad, but so far....so good.  That always worries me....I can see a laundramat in my future....talk about making the blood run cold.  Have a good day and I'm happy you had a no housework weekend.

We had a good party yesterday and such fun with both girls....they sure do love each other.  We're fortunate that all the parents get along and they spend lots of time together.

We are making a Sam's run today and DH is going to see a gentleman in the hospital over there....he is dropping me at a shopping center while he makes his visit...so we both will be happy.  LOL.  Have a great day all.

Diane - I'm sorry, but I HAD to laugh at your comment about the new buildings and your housework.  That is just too funny and I know better than to believe it!  You've just been so busy with your pantry that it's hard to remember being able to do anything BUT that lately.  LOL  I'm glad that you had fun at the party yesterday!  It sure is nice that everyone gets along, a person doesn't always find that to be the case a whole lot of times.  Have fun shopping today - what are we shopping FOR?  Anything in particular or just whatever happens to catch your eye?  I think that I'm done shopping now for a bit - I'm not a real big shopper these days, I guess I've come to the conclusion that if I want more clothes, I'd have to clean out the closet and that's just something that I'm NOT willing (or wanting) to do EVER!  If you'd see it, you'd understand perfectly.  *sigh*

Has any one heard anything about BJ and how she's doing and where she is now? I hope her life is better now and she's doing alright.

We had another good weekend of camping out in the bush. There was all guys at this lake that we went to for a fishing derby. I was the only woman there . These guys all had fun and some caught fish but all of them checked by the fish warden and they all go fines for one thing or another. One guy got 1,150.00 in fines. I would hate to be him and get fined like that. These guys never read the book about fishing lures and everything they were supposed to do to prevent all these fines. We also had the conservation officer come and check us and see if we had our bucket of water and shovel by the camp fire . You can get fined $167.00 for not having it by the fire and also the same for leaving your fire unattended and smoldering. The officer was happy to see us abiding by the rules.

Good morning, the rain seems to have stopped, we got 1.5 inches here, not sure about the farm. The city of Edmonton had up to 6 inches and some flooding again. Glad we did not get that.

DH is headed to the farm this morning, Jenn and Dallas are both working and I am going to the gym. Then I need to do a bit of laundry, empty the dishwasher and pack some stuff in the trailer as I work tomorrow and they will take the trailer to the GC and I will go after work. I will not have internet there as I suspended my mobile stick for awhile.

Anita - I'm glad that you had a nice weekend away, how fun!  I'm not sure, but I don't think that anyone's heard from BJ.  I know that she paid a visit to the bb on July 6th, but she didn't stop in here.  *sigh*  Hopefully all is going well for her, but with her health issues, good health is not a given.

Karen - We could definitely use some of that rain, please send it here!   I see that you're doing some chores this morning too.  That's good because misery loves company and I'm miserable!  LOL  I've got two loads of laundry left to do - a load of whites and a load of rugs, then I can call it a day.  Thank goodness!

For all of you that can't seem to get a good night's sleep, you might want to try THIS sleeping position as it seems to work well for Vinnie!  I haven't decided if his head slides off his pillow or what, but he sleeps like this a LOT!  I thought that cats always slept curled up in a ball???  I'm beginning to think that maybe I've been trying to imitate him some nights, at least that would explain my horrible neck ache come morning!  LOL

Ha ha Miss P, I call that the Burt Reynolds pose. I think most cats do that. I know my big boy does.

Did you make your rag quilt?? It is lovely, I am going to get into sewing this winter again. I have not had time or interest in it for so long but with life in order now maybe that can happen. Not sure who I will give them to but no big deal.

Off to shake Margie up for a half hour on the treadmill, few more minutes on the big ball and then home to shower and kick start my day. TTy all later,

Good afternoon everyone ~ Add me to the "didn't sleep well" club. Mid day yesterday I started with an allergy/sinus headache and terrible facial pain. I managed to ease it somewhat last night with the heating pad, but I woke up with it still hanging around. I have managed to get it to a dull ache so I can function. I did a few "must do" errands and a load of laundry this morning after getting the guys off to work. I think the rest of the day I will just lounge about.

Depo ~ Great pictures! Your DGDs are lovely...resemble their mom. Glad you all had such a great time. Sorry for the restless night. Hope today goes quickly and you can catch a nap.

Vera ~ Hope you get a good report on the BP. My DM suffers with hers and I know it makes her quite miserable at times. I see you are a "club" member also. LOL Hope tonight will be a sleep filled night.

Paulette ~ Thanks for posting Depo's pics. Vinnie is hilarious! He is a gorgeous! Sorry about the revolving door. I don't get that too often...thankfully. Enjoy your steamy hot temps today. It is in the mid 90s here and humid as well.

Marlene ~ Are you feeling better this morning? I am sure the in-laws enjoyed all those treats you took them. You are so kind to tend to their needs as you do. I see you are about to have a mini-vacation with DH going on his trip. Enjoy the "me" time... kick up your heels.

Sharon ~ I see you are having hot temps as well. We had rain 3 days this week but need more. I think that is how it is in many areas. Good luck to Skylar on getting the classes he needs/wants. How's the new job working out for him?

Diane ~ How's Mia feeling today? Happy to hear everyone enjoyed the party. Nice that the adults get along and spend time together. That is so good for the kids. You know I have never been to Sam's Club and we have one about 50 miles from here. DSIL says she'll take me her next trip.

Anita ~ Nice to see you. We have been on the BB at different times. Happy you are enjoying the camping trips. How is your sciatica doing and are you back at work now? Those are some pretty hefty fines.

Karen ~ I see you have been blessed with some rain. Looks like the city got a tremendous amount. Enjoy your time away.

Heidi ~ I saw you popped in yesterday. Glad that DFIL has the will and determination to fight this. My DM had that kind of attitude. I believe her faith, that attitude and all the prayers made all the difference in the world. I will continue to pray for DFIL and all the family. Something like this affects the entire family. I know from having experienced this. Enjoy the extra time with him. Safe travels on your return trip.

I need to rustle up some vittles. My slice of toast at 7 this morning seems to have left some time ago. Of course, I could have had a mid-morning snack of pie, but I think Diane and Marlene forgot about me. LOL
