I tolerate them. They're too sweet for me to eat out of the jar but I do like to add them to baked goods every so often.........
Love 'em! My gram used to make us cherry milk as a treat- whole milk with a couple cherries plopped in, then some of the juice to turn it pink. I make it for Jake now :)

I won't go so far as to say I hate them but they are not my favorite. I tend to avoid recipes that include them, unless I can make the recipe without them. Personally, I think they are icky. DH loves them but then he loves circus peanuts - go figure.

Up til now I disliked them(except for some color or a garnish in a recipe)
But Jolene changed my mind. What a lovely ,fun way to use them .
I love anything cherry!
I've been working on a way to make chocolate covered cherry russian
I fall into the tolerate camp. I can honestly say that I bet it's been 40 years or so since I last bought a jar of them.
Then the kid's were small and we used to make Ice Cream Sundes. It just had to have the cherry on top.
And I bet to this day if someone placed a big fat Hot Chocolate Sunde in front of my face. I'd eat the cherry first !
Though that is not likely to happen anytime too soon.
These days, I'd never buy a jar.
lol

Love 'em!I have a jar of green mint marischinos but I haven't yet been able to make myself try one. LOL
Love 'em!
Tolerate them....when they come atop a sundae anyone with me is welcome to mine. I have a jar on hand for decorative purposes or will plop in a guest's occasional Manhattan, but that's it. LOVE TART CHERRIES....speaking of which, our cherry pie filling (store brand) has gone from $2.00 a can last spring to $3.50 now. Said the Michigan freeze got virtually ALL the cherries. Some stores don't have ANY canned cherries in stock. Sad, because I use one can of cherry pie filling and another can of tart cherries for each pie.

Appy_Girl I can honestly say that I bet it's been 40 years or so since I last bought a jar of them.
Janie,if you still have them in the fridge,I bet they`re still good.Lol.
Marilyn I've seen cherry pie filling here as high as $4.50 a can! Worst part is..there aren't enough cherries in the can to even make it worth buying!
rosiewnyJanie,if you still have them in the fridge,I bet they`re still good.Lol.
That made me laugh out loud! It's probably true!
lol Ohhhhhh What a Jokster. Now does that make them more valueable? That jar certainly would be in the Vintage catagory !
I can see it now ~ Eat one and pass out ~ Fermented Cherries ! whoa.
