    Hot Bacon Dip

    4 bacon strips, diced
    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms,chopped
    1 medium onion,finely chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
    1/2 cup sour cream
    2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspoon soy sauce
    Assorted vegetables or crackers

In a skillet cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels. Drain, reserving 2 Tablespoons drippings. In the drippings, saute mushrooms, onions and garlic until tender. Add flour, salt and pepper; cook and stir 1 minute or until thickened. Reduce heat. Add next four ingredients; cook and stir until cheese melts. Stir in bacon. Serve warm with vegetables or crackers. Here's another great hot mushroom dip. Mix 2 eight oz. cans mushrooms, drained, with 1 envelope onion soup and 1 pint sour cream. Put into a sprayed baking dish, top with 1 cup shredded cheddar and bake at 350* for about 20 minutes, or until cheese melts some. I use stems and pieces just fine! Serve with a spoon and crackers. Delicious! Enjoy!. Margaret
