I'm sorry but I don't have the recipe you're looking for now, but when you find it, you can always bake it in a crock pot! It will save you money, baking this way. Just cook on Hi for 2 hours, propping the lid a bit with a wood spoon handle or chopstick. Tastes great. Make with any recipe.

It's a pleasure to serve this moist corn bread to family and guests. Honey gives it a slightly sweet taste. Most people find it's difficult to eat just one piece. -Adeline Piscitelli, Sayreville, New Jersey

For the BEST TASTING cornbread try to use/get ORGANIC cornmeal,  it will really taste MUCH better than your regular store bought cornmeal.

Why does organic cornmeal taste better than regular cornmeal? What is done to it to make it taste better? How can you tell if you are really getting organic cornmeal?

You can go to a health food store or health food co-op or buy on line from Azyrestandard.com. Just make sure the cornmeal is CERTIFIED ORGANIC. IT tastes better because NOTHING has been done to it and  it has not been de-germinated and de-fatted like the store bought.should be kept refrigerated. It is also ground a bit coarser than your store bought.

Yes, it is more expensive but worth every penny because you don't eat a iot every day. I buy in bulk because it is cheaper. It will also keep in a cool, dry basement if stored in a food grade plastic bucket with an air tight lid. If you can't fill the bucket get some oxygen absorbers to put in with the cornmeal, they keep it fresher.
