Blueberry Angel Food Cake Recipe?

    Blueberry Angel Food Cake Recipe?

    I think this recipe came out of Quick Cooking a few years ago. It was an angel food cake, cream cheese, dream whip, and blueberry pie filling. There may have been a couple of other ingredients as well. I remembering that you tear the angel food cake in pieces and combine with the cream cheese and dream whip mixture but dont remember exactly and the pie filling goes on top I think???? I just remember it being very simple, quick and very good. Does anyone have this recipe?

    ETA:  Maybe not... it uses fresh or frozen blueberries and not blueberry pie filling.  But it still does look yummy.  I think I might try it.

    No this isnt it but it does look yummy. I found the one I was hunting for and it is so easy. Here it is, you could use any pie filling you wanted

    Blueberry Angel Dessert Recipe

      • Prep: 10 min. + chilling
    • Yield: 12-15 Servings

    Ingredients

    • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
    • 1 prepared angel food cake (8 to 10 ounces), cut into 1-inch cubes
    • 2 cans (21 ounces each) blueberry pie filling

    Directions

    • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; fold in whipped topping and cake cubes. Spread evenly into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. dish; top with pie filling. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares. Yield: 12-15 servings.
