    Recipe; Hunts Burgers
    6 Hamburger Buns
    1 Lb. Hamburger
    2 T. finely chopped onion
    1 t. Salt
    1/4 t. Pepper
    2 - 8 oz. cans Tomato sauce
    2 T. finely chopped green pepper(Optional)

    Hollow out center of buns leaving 1/2" rim. Break up and mix with Hamburger and onion. Add seasoning and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce. Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees 35-40 mn. Spoon remaining sauce over and bake another 8-10 mn. longer. I serve with baked potato and salad.

    Oops, Should have said stuff hamburger buns with meat mixture. But I think it is probably assumed. Maybe not!!!

     Wow, I remember my mother making this when I was a kid. I haven't had these in ages.  I bought some Hunt's ketchup last night and remembered this meal.  I had to  look it up, of course!!

    My mother had this recipe from way back in the early 1970s.  I loved making them for dinner as a kid.  Thank you for posting the recipe.
