(I double the ingredients for 12 people. We always  have some leftovers. We also prefer the round hard rolls  .)

    Italian Beef

    3# chuck roast
    1 can beef broth
    1 can French Onion Soup..(Campbells)
1/2 pkg. of Dry onion soup

1/2 bottle of Peppernci's and 1/2 bottle of juice if it is the large bottle...Use everything if it is the small bottle (you find it near the olives in the grocery stores)

    Red Pepper flakes
1 to 2 Tbl oregano flakes (Not ground)
    Black pepper
    5 cloves crushed garlic

Put everything in crock pot..Keep on high approximately four hours. Reduce to low and cook until tender. Break meat and peppers up with a fork as it cooks. (Cut stems off peppers when you do this)

Can make the night before and let it cook all night and all day if you want. Or..can be started in the morning for that evenings event..

    A hit with everyone...and easy

Serve on hard rolls or buns. Let each person add the amount of juice they want on their Italian Beef bun...Very good.

I add a can of beer and quartered onions to mine instead of the soup mix. I like to have the onions to eat along with the peppers! Goos thing it freezes because 2 can't eat it all without getting tired of it!

Do you mean just the dry soup mix or also the french onion soup too.  I am going to try this for company xmas eve.  so you just pour in a small bottle of beer-instead of soup, right?  Thanks

You use both the dry onion soup and the can of Campbells French onion soup.
