Have any of you tried this method of cooking and shucking corn on the cob? I usually cook two ears at a time, for eight minutes (turning the ears over after four minutes). Perfect every time and keeps the heat out of the kitchen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnBF6bv4Oe4~~VickiNOTE: My microwave is 1000 watts.
This looks like a great method. As soon as the corn is selling around here, I'm trying it!
Keep Smilin'! A good laugh- for any reason- will do anyone good!
I tried this method last year and it worked just fine - will do so again this summer. Thanks for the reminder.
You're welcome! When the ears of corn are a little too big for the microwave turntable, I cut a litle off at the bottom of the corn cob. (The corn is not exposed.)~~Vicki
I can't believe this! Can't wait to try it.....wish I had some fresh corn now.

Is the corn done with this length of time?
I froze corn on the cob last summer so we are still eating that. Husked it and put them into Food Saver bags then into the freezer. Remove and put in microwave or steam them, either or.
Thanks for the tip Vicki
Yes, it is. However, it you like your cooked a little more, you can cook the two ears of corn 4-1/2 minutes per side (9 minutes).~~Vicki
