Hope the aspirin helped cinnamon, I was just inquiring about him. The aspirin will relax him a little and hopefully relieve some of the pain. ~Janie~

Hi Janie, I gave Cinnamon a baby aspirin early this morning. He's hanging in there. He's resting pretty good I think. He's alert and looks good. Just waiting for my DH to get home from work, And we will be taking him to the vet. Thank you for asking about him.

I'll let you all know what we find out. I haven't been able to get him to eat his dog food. (That's what we always feed him, We never give him human food...maybe a couple of baby carrots or a small piece of cheese from time to time) So the only way I have been able to get him to eat as of yesterday is scramble him some eggs. He loves that, lol. I can't harldy get him to drink water, So I have been giving him water through a syringe to keep him hydrated.

Deb, Hope this will help you also. Do you remember Brent49 and her dog Casey? Well Casey was hit with a car and brenda was having a hard time getting him to drink water, I suggested Chicken Soup Broth, and it worked. She was so thankful for the tip. I did it several times with the Dalamation I mentioned in the other post.It must be the salt in the broth that they like, I watered it down a bit but it worked.~Janie~You can tell I am a real fur baby lover, and have had many experiences with them.Good Luck Cinnamom

Hi Janie, Got Cinnamon to the vet, The vet give him a cortizon shot, The vet said we should see a difference in him in 6 to 8 hrs. When we got home awhile ago, My DH let him down to go potty and Cinnamon was walking alittle bit better, By was winning some. He's resting now. Thank you sooo much for the tip, I'll try it if he doesn't start drinking on his own very soon, I'll give it a try. I think I have a can in the pantry. Yes, I do remeber the dog that was hit by a car, Hope he is doing better. I'll post on the main BB tomorrow to give everyone an update on Cinnamon. I would like to give him over night and see how he is in the morning. Got a feeling we will have our Cinnamon playing ball again. ;)
Thank you for the tip, I will remeber that, I didn't have any idea.

Janie, I just went in to see if Cinnamon would get a drink of water, He just looked and laid his head back down, I told him that I would be right back, I was pretty sure that I had a can of chicken broth, I opened up the can and poured some into his bowl, Diluted it with some water, He drank it right up and was still licking the bowl after he drank it all. LOL, Cinnamon was walking alittle bit better this morning on his leg when we took him out to go potty, But he's wanting to lay down mostly, Figure it will take him a few days to get feeling better, We usually start seeing alittle more improvement in him each day.

    Re: RE: di loves spring

I am gathering from your story that your dog has joint problems- I worked for a pet store for a while and funny enought this vendor came in with this stuff called K-9 Motion.  It was a bit pricey but we tried it for my parents dog who suffered from a self inflicted hip injury (she climbed a fence and got her leg stuck and pulle the bone out of the socket) She had surgery to repair the injury but was not getting along very well- now that she has been on this stuff - you can really tell when she is not taking it......the stuff was made originally for race horse but they found the barn dogs were benefiting from the water that the horses were being treated with.  They changed the formula to treat dogs and my moms dog is a walking billboard for this stuff........you can find this stuff on their web site.
