    payday candy bar

I know you can mix salted peanuts with candy corn and it tastes like a payday candy bar, but is there a certain ratio of peanuts to candy?

    RE: payday candy bar

Here's a recipe for Payday Candy. I have never tried it yet.

    PAYDAY BARS

    24 ounces dry roasted peanuts
    12 ounces peanut butter chips
    10 ounces marshmallows
    4 tablespoons margarine
    1 can sweetened condensed milk

Melt together chips, marshmallows, margarine and milk. Butter the bottom of a 9x13" pan. Put half of the peanuts in the bottom of the pan. Pour melted mixture over the peanuts. Sprinkle remaining peanuts onto the mixture. Press peanuts into the mixture. Refrigerate.

It is best to refrigerate overnight before cutting.

I have a recipe I got out of a Pillsbury Bake-off cookbook (paperback) many years ago.  If memory serves me correctly the crust uses a yellow cakemix.  The other part is rice krispies, marshmellow cream, peanuts...  Easy to make, cuts into squares easily.  Most my cookbooks are upstairs - I have one bookcase just for cookbooks.  I'm not able/allowed to go up and down stairs right now - had partial knee replacement surgery Sept 9 - otherwise I'd go get the recipe and post it for you.  hummm - wonder if they would have the recipe on their website.  I know that little book is about 30 years old.  I might be able to scoot up and down the stair on my backside.

Be careful.  I wouldn't you to hurt yourself.  I have some old Pillsbury Bake-off Cookbooks too.  And I also get emails from Pillsbury, so I could probably find the recipe if they have it in their archives.

Thanks so much for offering help.
