    Recipe for a trifle

2 years ago there was a delicious recipe for a chocolate/peanut butter trifle in the Quick Cooking magazine. I think the trifle was pictured on the cover. If anyone has that issue, I would appreciate the recipe. All of my things are in storage and I don't have access to the magazines.

I am looking for that recipe as well for a bake-off at work! I can't seem to locate the issue that it was in. Has anyone found it? Can you tell me which issue it was in? My magazines are a wreck and finding it could be a challenge! Thanks for your help.

    PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE TRIFLE

    1 box brownie mix
1 (10 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips
1 (5 oz.) box instant vanilla pudding
    3 c. milk
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed & divided
24 regular size peanut butter cups (I am using mini peanut butter cups)

Line a 13 x 9 pan with aluminum foil; extend foil by 2" over side. Prepare brownie mix according to directions. Add peanut butter chips.

Bake in foil lined pan for length of time on box. Cool completely. Lift foil out of pan. Invert on cutting board. Remove foil. Cut into 3/4 pieces.

Coarsely chop 20 peanut butter cups; saving 4 for garnish.

Combine pudding mix and milk in large bowl. Beat at low speed for 2 minutes or until thick. Add peanut butter and vanilla; beat until smooth. Gently fold in half of whipped topping.

Place half of the brownies in bottom of trifle bowl; top with 1/2 of chopped candy and half of pudding. Repeat layers.

Top with remaining Cool Whip spooned or piped on. Slice leftover candy in 4 long pieces. Arrange them vertically on top of cream.

    Serves 12.
