RE: The Rose Room ******** February 11th

I forgot to tell you about the other major happening of my day yesterday. Before I left town, I thought I'd go to my favorite auto car wash (Wish we were big enough to support one) and get the salt off the out side and the sand out of the inside. Well, to make a long story short, they took off my antena, and put in a dent about the size of a volleyball underneath it. ANd when I asked what happened there, They said- Wasn't that there before? Well, I know they knew better, because they ran the car through twice, and that should have been my clue that something was wrong. I thought I saw a dent the first time, and thought maybe I was getting a reflection, and then the car drove off and the next I see, it's comming through again. I fill out a report, and he didn't argue with me, but would not have mentioned it, if I hadn't. Good thing it was on this side. I did call my insurnace, just so they were aware of what was going on. No ward yet from the car wash! Imagine that???

Jane - I am sorry you have to deal with that...but good thing you saw it before you left. And it is a shame they werent' up front with a good customer (let alone any customer) and tried to sneak one by you. Hope they repair it to your satisfaction.

The house is VERY slowly getting clean...just feeling lazy today. :)

Jane, boy oh boy... They SHOULD take care of that for you... We had a bad thing once with the car wash here... This was a couple of years ago. At that time the Explorer was new. Prior to the Explorer we had never had to take an antenna off for a car wash before... They ran it through the car wash and broke the antenna... Steve brought it to their attention and the kid behind the counter poointed to a "little" sign in the window Warning about antennas... This kid could have cared less so this being a local chain here, Steve called the owner and he was more than happy to take care of the damage, even gave us coupons for several free car washes. Then when we take it in to get fixed Ford picks up the tab saying that it has been an ongoing problem with the Explorers and that year... My point is go higher up if need be, don't let them get away with mmistreating you...

Off my soap box now ;)

    Good morning Rosies!

Ridge, glad that you got to see the baby. Of course, she is beautiful. Does she have red hair?

I was supposed to go and help do lunch at the Share House this morning with people from my church, but the cramps from hell have kept me home. I hope that they're gone tonight as we may have plans.

A couple that resigned from our church a few years back has invited us and another couple to go to a comedy club type thing. It should be fun, but the invitation sort of just came out of the blue. We're wondering if these people are wanting back into the church or are they trying to sway us in the way they believe now? Of course, my faith is strong so I'm not threatened at all and we will go and enjoy our evening.

Off to get something strong for this little crampy annoyance. Have a great Friday Rosebuds!~~~Laura

Oh btw Jane, I had a boss that took his car through the auto wash and the side mirror came off! The attendant didn't really think that it was a big deal. Can you imagine that? Well, with enough complaints lobbied I guess that it was finally taken care of. But you gotta be nasty sometimes or they'll walk all over you!

Jane, That is just terrible about the way you were treated at the carwash. As Diana said, go to the top (owner) if you aren't getting quick satisfaction.

I was just thinking today that it seems only a very short time ago that Stacy was telling us that she was considering trying to get pregnant; and look she is getting ready to give birth any day.
My how time flies in the Rose Room.

Dianae, Shame on you posting that fantastic sounding recipe when you know I am on a mission!!!!!!!

Dianae, have you made this? I don't know if it can beat Maizey's "To Die For" recipe ~~~~

Geesh, it is so gray out, I can't even see the moutains...

Thanks for the get well wishes C&B. I am so tired of this. I don't really get any PMS because I take medication to prevent it. But when Aunt Flo gets here, it's 2-3 days of hell! I popped Advil all day yesterday and no relief. Vicodin is about the only thing that works but it takes a while to kick in. And I'm not always running on 100% after taking it. The doctor isn't too sympathetic. She just chalks it up to getting older and the "natural" order of things.

Sorry that your weather looks cruddy. We have sunshine and blue skies here.

Sorry you are not feeling well Laura. Hope it passes soon.

Sorry Maizey! But if you fix a BIG salad with it, it isn't too bad for you! LOL I used to fix it alot, before we started watching what we ate...very yummy. Now I only fix it for special occasions or during Lent. If you have it as a side dish it its't that bad for you either, though a big bowlful probably does qualify as a heart attack on a noodle! I suppose you cold use fat free sour cream and margerine, but I would rather have it less often and with the "real" stuff. :)

LOL @ Dianae! Yes, heart attack on a Noodle :)

But it's oh so good... Once in a while is ok, right???

Will have to try it :)

I definitely would not eat it on a weekly basis, but for special occasions....well, that is what sepcial occasions are for...worthwhile indulgences.

Sure do miss Roma. Hope she gets that problem fixed real soon! I am also anxious to hear how Stacy's doctor visit went today.
