    company apple sheet pie

I am looking for a recipe that was in Taste of home or county woman a year or so ago. It is for apple pie or streusel. You make it on a cookie sheet with maple syrup, apples, Pecans( i think). It is great for a potluck or crowd. If you could help me out with this, it would be great.
    Thank you

I don't know if this is the one you're looking for but I got it off the BB a while ago and it is delicious!

    Pot Luck Apple Pie
    2-1/4 cups flour, divided
    1/4 cup water
    pinch salt
    1 cup shortening
    Filling:
    1/2 cup maple syrup, divided
3 pounds tart apples (8-9 medium)peeled and thinly sliced
    1-1/4 cups sugar
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    2 tsps cinnamon
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    Topping:
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup cold butter or margarine
    1 cup chopped pecans

In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup flour and water until smooth; set aside. In a large bowl, combine salt and remaing flour; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add reserved flour mixture; knead gently until dough forms a ball. Press dough onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 15x10x1 baking pan. Spread 1/4 cup syrup over the crust. Arrange apples over syrup. Combine sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla and remaining syrup; drizzle over apples. For topping, combine flour and sugar in a bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples are tender.

    COOKIE SHEET APPLE PIE
I belong to several volunteer service groups, and this dessert has been a real time-saver when there’s a large crowd to be fed. It serves more than an ordinary pie with the about the same amount of effort.
Berth Jeffries – Great Falls, Montana

    3 3/4 C all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 t salt
    3/4 C shortening
    3 eggs, lightly beaten
    1/3 C milk
8 C sliced peeled baking apples
    1 1/2 C sugar
    1 t ground cinnamon
    1/2 t ground nutmeg
    1 C crushed cornflakes
    1 egg white, beaten

In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add eggs and milk; mix to form dough. Chill for 20 minutes. Divide dough in half; roll one half to fit the bottom and sides of a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Arrange apples over crust.

Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cornflakes; sprinkle over apples. Roll remaining dough to fit top of pan and place over apples. Seal edges; cut slits in top. Brush with egg white. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F; bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.

    Yield: 16-20 servings. TOH Feb/Mar 1995 pg 37-38

I have made this pie several times, and it is a favorite with my family. The first time I made it, the juices boiled out of the pan and made a mess in the oven, so I now use a glass pan that is about the same size. If you use a cookie sheet, be sure to build the crust up on the sides. It is a great recipe.
