Easy foods to freeze

Hi--I'm looking for easy meals to make to freeze.I'm having gastric bypass surgery On January 9th and need some ideas for freezing meals for my family, so when I'm laid up in bed my husband can put something in the oven for our 3 kids.
I will have support from my friends, family and our church families.I know they are all willing to help out my family during this time. Thanks Shariberry

Most any casserole, soup, or stew. It's more like what DOESN'T freeze well -- like potatoes or cream cheese. Make some of your favorite casseroles & divide them into family size portions to freeze. Or, ready made hamburger patties (and freeze the buns).
Good luck!

Soups also freeze well, as long as they're broth based. The cream kind tends to separate.

I freeze cream soups and although WC is correct in saying it tends to separate, it doesn't affect the flavor. The easiest meals for me to freeze are soups & stews.

How bout something like this. Make up a large batch of hamburger with some onion garlic and tomato sauce. Freeze it in recipe sized batches. That way he has a starter for whatever he wants to make. He could make sloppy joes, or add some spices and few other things and enchiladas or chili? It depends on whether you want things he can just reheat or a starter as a helper. :)
And good luck with your surgery. Will say a prayer for you (but I know it will go well).
