    Valentine's Day

So does anyone actually make a nice Valentine's Day meal for their hubby? What do you have? Personally, I'd rather take a break from cooking on this day, but--- as much as I enjoy a break, I don't like crowded resteraunts! We already went to our church Valentine Banquet, great! One year, I did surprise him and took him on a "date", got a massage and out to lunch, it was fun surprising him and he loved it. It would be fun to surprise him again sometime.

I am doing the 14 days of Valentines this year. And I will be making him a nice meal this year. Often we go out but this year won't go til Thurs as it suits both schedules better. When kids were younger always made a special meal with my good plates, etc.

I am making the To Die For Crock Pot Roast because my family enjoys it. I will also have mashed potatoes and probably some fried okra. My husband prefers (sigh)a box cake (yellow) with chocolate (canned frosting). I would prefer to make something homemade or more decadent but I am making this for him. I may cheat and melt 1 C of semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir them into the frosting to help the taste some.

    Die For Crockpot Roast
1 beef roast, large enough to fit in your crockpot
1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
    1/2 C. warm water

Place roast in crockpot. Mix all three envelopes
and sprinkle on top of roast. Pour water in
the bottom of the crockpot. Cover and cook
on low 6 to 7 hours. You can add more water at
    end for more gravy.

    Happy Valentines Day!

So, Mom Jill, I am just curious, how do you celebrate the 14 days of Valentines? How long have you been married? For us, it will be 34 years next month. I decided last night, I will make him a special meal. Hopefully, he will notice, lol.

We decided to eat at home rather than go out. I'm fixing linguini and shrimp dish followed by a white chocolate with cool whip and raspberry dessert.

Every other year we go out and every other year I make the meal. When I make the meal I make a meal "for the heart from the heart!" So often I make salmon... and everything is made with love and try to do everything as ♥ conscience as I can!
