Hello every one I am sharing a Poem my DS wrote when he was in Junior High

    Rebirth of a Day

Dawn is breaking, the rising of the sun
A sign that the world has just began.
The stillnes of morning in the air,
    Waking innocent creatures every where.
Colors shining making the world look new,
The birds, the bears, the fish , the deer.
Waking the day as they've done for years.
Sunlight peeking trough trees with their rays,
Breaking the night to make a new day.
Water rippling in the flow of a brook
Bright colored pebbles give it a peacefull look.
Insects are busy most of the day,
The small wooly bear cubs busy at play.
Birds are all chirping, the sun is up high,
The day is half over, time has gone by.
Eating and playing, the creatures are free,
    Living and loving in harmony.
The day is now darker, the sun almost gone
Let the time keep on going, and wait for the next Dawn......

    Why God Made Friends

God made the world with a heart full of love,
Then He looked down from Heaven above,
And saw that we all need a helping hand,
Someone to share with, who'll understand,
He made special people to see us through
    The glad times and the sad times, too;
A person on whom we can always depend,
Someone we can call a friend.

God made friends so we'll carry a part
of His perfect love in all our hearts.

    Hugs Susan

I like to share my feelings...

What a true blessing you all are. I could share my weakness, strength, and hopes.
You all give me support, and for that I am truly blessed.
I am so grateful to have all of you in my life, we can write our feelings so the days tasks can go smooth.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts, and for helping me through this journey, and keep me going.
I only hope I can give you back what you all have given me.

    Love and Hugs Susan

    Happy Canada Day!
    Happy Independence Day!

    Good Afternoon, Everyone!
This morning we stopped at home that was offering everything free, now that their garage sale is over. I found a couple cookbooks. The best one is a local school PTA cookbook from 1996, complete with index, cooking terms, and kitchen hints. I also found an 8 - inch cast iron frying pan. Freecycle dot org is great!

Susan, my son has left for a friend's home. What do you think they are watching?? World Cup Soccer!

Hope to see everyone in this new room,
    Hugs,

    May your day be
    warm and breezy,
    light and easy.
    May everything be sunny,
    as sweet as honey.
    May all be well
    and right--
    happy and bright.
    May everything you
    touch be smooth sailing,
    inspiring, and fulfilling.

    You guessed it.
    I'm wishing you
    a great day!

A Summer Day by Frances Heighton

    Sun peeking over the hilltop,
    Roses caressed by the dew,
A sea of bright morning glories
    Of every imaginable hue,
Corn in the field, gently nurtured
By the sun and the soft falling rain,
Meadows all sounding with new songs,
And daises soon to be made into chains,
New earth just bursting with life, and
The laughter of children at play--
I am happy because these are part of
    This beautiful warm summer day.
As a deer longs for flowing streams,
so my soul longs for you, O God.
    Psalm 42:1

Hello friends! Happy Canada Day and Happy Fourth of July! Can you believe how fast June passed? Before we know it the children will be back in school and DD back to teaching.
Thank you for the new room. This is nice to start the next half of the year in a fresh new room. I must find a good recipe to share.
Last night I made another loaf (my fourth with this recipe) of the SOUR CREAM AND VANILLA BREAD, as it is so good and easy to make. It turned out with such a nice shape and light crust. The bread is so yummy and great for sandwiches and toast. Now that I have found some recipes that do well in the bread machine, I think that it will be worked harder! LOL And it saves my energy!
Karen it was good to hear from you and you know that all of us think about you and wonder how you are doing. The same goes for Marymitten and all those that come here. We don't always get to be here as much as would be enjoyed but these are busy days for everyone. DH is taking a couple of days vacation along side the holiday. It will give him some time to work on the "honey do" projects, LOL!
I hope that all of you have a wonderful and safe weekend/holiday time!
I will post a recipe the next time around.
If any of you know of a tried and true bread machine recipe for apple cinnamon bread, let me know.
I will be on the hunt for a good one!
Thank you for all the poems and good thoughts. And Susan....YOU ARE A JEWEL. You bless us all and we are glad to have you as our friend.
Warm hugs to all those dear!
