Grannie Neighborhood - Fourth of July

    Happy Birthday, U.S.A.

Good Morning Grannies. It's a beautiful day in this Neighborhood. Hope the same in yours. Been out walking and feed Lily and Goldie their treats.

I will remember and fix breakfast today. How about O.J, fried potatoes, omelet with cheese, bacon or ham, tomato, onion, and green pepper, toast, jam, coffee, milk and WATER! Coffee cake for mid-morning snack.

    Good morning,

OMG LILY!!! What a breakfast spread.I don't eat fried potatoes for breakfast but sure will today. Thank you!

It's a beautiful day so far here too.70* going to 83*.There's also a chance of pop up showers but that won't affect our doings. Kids will be here at noon.

I remember going to a little place in Angola Indiana years ago to watch the fireworks. The fireworks then were very animated and I loved them.I really don't care for them any more but I certainly do appreciate and care about our Freedom. Thank you for the USA!!

    GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!

    Happy Fourth of July!!

    Good morning ladies.
It's a beautiful 64º, sunny morning here. We just came in from having our coffee on the patio. The neighbors dogs woke everyone in the neighborhood at 7, they bark ALL the time.

Lily, what a great breakfast spread. I never used to eat fried tators for breakfast until about 10 years ago, and now I love it.

Stylist, have fun at your get together today.

Lakemom, all the fun you have had will make the next work week seem pretty boring, hehehe. Have a good time again today.

God bless and help the USA!

Sending a Patriotic good morning to the grannies, today.

It is a lovely day in the neighborhood, LILY. Cool, sunny, breezy, no humidity--ooooh, I love it. Snitching a little bit of this and a little bit of that for breakfast.
STYLIST, hope showers won't spoil your day with the kids.
RITA, it is nice when there is activity all around the lake. Have fun with dad, today.
There was an hour fireworks show on the Milwaukee Lakefront last night. People camped out in the park all day to watch them. But, we watched them on TV.
I have made my last fruit salad for this weekend. The party starts after the city parade, DD will be on the flat bed truck playing percussion for our Community Band.
Then, we get to watch fireworks from our patio, right over our neighbors house tonight. I am happy to be away from the crowds. I like the Boston Pops TV show, too, so I will have to tape that.

Wishing a Happy Fourth of July to all the grannies.
Hope you have a flag flying!

    HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

    Good Morning...

Heard it raining through the night, but now it is sunny and getting very humid. Going to 85º today.

DH & I will walk down to the parade in a bit. Starts at 11. DD is working at the bakery this morning (not her favorite thing to do today), but they are busy with all the parade goers wanting their coffee, juice and donuts while they wait.

Lily...oh my, I guess I should have come here first to have breakfast. I already had my oatmeal..so I'm not hungry now. Guess I'll have a cup of coffee though.

Stylist...I love fried potatoes any time of the day..LOL Enjoy your picnic with family.

Lakemom...good to hear from you and you sound like a busy beaver. Enjoy all the celebrating.

    Fahy...have a good day.

Mamma...no barking dogs in my neighborhood....well, maybe one down the street, but don't usually hear him til later in the day.

ATV...sounds like your day is all planned. Enjoy it.

I made potato salad yesterday and will make some baked beans. Then grill some burgers later. That's about it for us. No company today.

    Haaaappy 4th of July, Grannies!!
Like Lily said it is a beautiful in this part of the GN too.

Lily, What a great breakfast. I will have an omelet with everything but onions and peppers.

Stylist, have a great time with the family today.

Lakemom, Nice to see you back. What a fun time in your part of the neighborhood.

Jan, Enjoy your quiet day. It will be the same kind here.

Mamma, Barking dogs in the neighborhood are no fun. The one near here seems to be in the house at night now. What a relief.

Nancy, I plan to watch the Boston Pops too. Always very good. My flag is not waving much, but it is out there.

Cjayh, No parades around here for the fourth. So we will just watch the cars, trucks, scooters, motorcycles, mimi bikes and whatever else people travel on these days as they pass the house. It sounds like good eating at your place.

Pat, it was a good morning to sleep in. Nice and cool. What did you learn new on the computer.

The weather is so nice. I rode around the block and also went for my walk. I was surprised when I was half way home DH came to meet me. Usually he just walks a little ways down our road to meet me.

God bless us and the USA, today and everyday.

If I hurry up I can say, good morning grannies.

    Happy 4th.

We have done it all over the weekend so today is a do nothing day. We already had a thunderstorm pass through. My head is hurting so I'm sure there are more in the area. It really rained again. I should weed my flower bed but right now it is too muggy and too wet.

DH will probably call in a bit for me to go eat. I'm hoping I can talk him into just getting two plates and bringing it home. I'm in a grouchy mood. I get this way before getting sick so I'm hoping I can overcome before being overcome. LOL.

I should be back tonight. DGD wants me to come to their house and watch the fireworks. Told her I would but my mood is going to have to improve.

Guess I should go put the next load of clothes in the dryer. Too muggy and damp outside. Thought of you Lily when I was thinking about hanging out. You said the other day it was so damp.

Well off to my next project.

    BBL.

Good Morning Ladies - Since I didn't have to work, I took the pleasure of sleeping in - I always sleep better towards morning. Went to bed at 11:20, up at 12;30 & 1:30 and then went to the chair and slept until 3:30 and then back to bed, and up at 6:00 like usual, then back until 9:30.
We went to the fireworks last night being shot off the bluff over the Mississippi River, and then out off the rumble and natural fireworks, it started to rain, and in just moments was pouring - I felt so bad for those fireman up on the bluff - They had to be soaked! What a disappointment - Not for me, but for them to get ready for the community and have that happen.
Rita, it's sounding like a fun week-end/Holiday in you neighborhood. Just the kind of thing I would like.
I'm guessing I missed Ruth breakfast, and am just in time for that coffee cake - I''m sure I'll be eating alone, as the rest of you that had that wonderful breakfast, couldn't possibly be hungry yet.
Put some eggs on to boil - Don't know what I will do with them, if anything. I like them sliced on toast in the mornings too.
Everyone, enjoy the day - Sending special wishes of strength to Alby & Gary and Dutch & Maryann. And Always, Joe.

Goodmoring Grannies :) for some of you it's still morning. Sorry that I didn't get back to chat last night. We had a prob with dh's feeding tube and had to have a visit from the nurse. Nothing critical but when she left lights were out in the neighborhood :(

Niece brought a surprise for us! She is expecting another baby in NOV. Her youngest will be 10 in Oct. Don't think i would plan it that way. This is what they wanted.

I'm tired and still have laundry to do. 13 sheets have been washed and now need folded. I saw 5 more sheets waiting to go into the washer! Two loads of towels done and put away. 11 people were here Sat nigiht talk about bodies on the floor! It was fun to have them all here though.

Time for me to have some lunch

Hope everyone is having a bang up day!! :)

Good morning all grannies. I quick stop in the neighborhood to wish everyone a wonderful 4th of July. Not much going on here as I have to work my regular hours. DH is doing a bit better this week after his severe heat stroke on Saturday. It has cooled off at night and he is sleeping better. Attitude is a bit better also. Hope everyone enjoys the family get togethers and the fireworks.

Jane, thanks for the good wishes. As I said in my first post, it is a reasonably good morning. The fireworks on the bluff along the Mississippi must have been really pretty. I have seen the ones in Winona off the bluff also. We have a community concert and fireworks also, but I do not get done until 7:30 and then will just go and watch the fireworks as I work my normal three shifts of work. Still the 6-9 am, 11:00-1:30 pm and the 4:30-8:00 pm, but I am going to try and sneak away a bit early tonight. Blessings to all.
