    ~*~*~Holy Cow Cake~*~*~

    ~Holy Cow Cake~

    1 devil's food cake mix
    1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
    1 12 oz. jar caramel topping
    6 Heath or Butterfinger bars, crushed
    1 12 oz. carton Cool Whip
    1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

    Bake cake as directed on package in a 9x13 cake pan.

    Mix the milk with the caramel topping. Poke holes into the cake and pour the mixture over it. Sprinkle with half the crushed candy bars.

    Mix Cool Whip and cream cheese and spread over the cake. Sprinkle with
    remaining crushed candy bars.

    Good morning...it was a debate between this and the Buckeye cake -- thought I'd better go w/the Buckeye....w/several coming I felt like it would serve more -- might just make both and be sure!! *smiles*

    This recipe sounds wonderful. Do you think it would work using a different flavor cake mix...white or yellow maybe? DH doesn't care for chocolate anything and I would like to try this recipe.

    You could try it w/a yellow cake...I don't know how it would alter it but I really think it would be okay!

    I've made this cake several times and everyone loves it. I have sent it to work with DH and several of the guys there asked him for the recipe to take home to their wives. I haven't personally tasted it though so I can't vouch for it on that level lol.

    do you pour the carmel mixture on the cake while it is hot,also do you let it cool before putting on the cool whip mixture?

    Yes, Pour the Carmel over the warm cake (after you poke holes) and cool before you add the cool whip mixture!
