    RE: convection oven/oven...

This is the 2nd convection oven I've had..and I like this Kitchen Aid one a lot more.

It cooks faster, I'd recommend reading the manual that came with the oven first.

I like baking pies in it, but it's not for breads or cakes...at least in my opinion. It cooks so fast it doesn't get done inside.

I did a google search for "convection oven tips" and came up with several hits.

Among them this link that I'll read myself!!

yes we have...not the one we had a deposit on...they still haven't put in sewers etc... so we pulled that deposit and found a spec home also in a gated active adult community..we are happy...

we drove by the other place today and they still have the big sewer pipes sitting around....our daughter is buying a home near there, they finally got the insulation done and dry wall sitting in their house...

my husband would be in a tizzy if we were waiting for that first home, they said they would be completed in December...and we had a rental till then...but there is no way, maybe May..from the looks of it...glad we decided to go looking once more...we found this house July 5th and moved in August 11th...it came with flooring and window treatment...

    congrats on your new home!
i had a KA convection oven at my last house. i loved it. i'm planning on buying a new one in the very near future for this house. i miss it.
just remember, it cooks differently by breaking up the insulatng layer of air around the food.
i agree, do you have the manual?
i used to make prime rib with mine, to die for.

Oh you said the PR words, Supe!!

    December--yikes, Shelley.

Pleased you found another home & it's complete. I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason & the house sounds terrific.

Have you had time to check out Google for some tips, yet??

I have baked yeast breads and quick breads as well as cakes in my 26 yr old Farberware convection oven since I bought it. All you have to do is turn thetemperature down 25 to 40 degrees and it will bake slower.Bought mine when they first came out and also have two stainless drying racks so I can use it to dry herbs and such.
Just read the book that comes with it for tips on how to bakle different things.
