    Crockpot candy - wonderful

Just wanted to let you ladies know that I made the Crockpot Candy using a recipe from lindachicken. When I put all the ingredients in the crockpot it was full to the top and I left it alone for 2 hours and didn't lift the lid. When I went to stir it, the ingedients had melted and all I had to do was stir and stir more. I couldn't believe how the chocolate and chips had melted. I did use two packages of the Wilton Candy melts in vanilla (instead of the almond bark)and they were soft as could be. This is so good and it does make a lot so my husband should be happy for a while. I did add some mini-marshmallows at the very end and they did melt some but still were able to tell what they were. Next time some raisins in part and what else? I would have never believed this would work if I hadn't tried it. Thank you to all the other ladies who gave hints and suggestions. THIS IS A KEEPER.

Nettie -- I'm SO glad this worked for you! The marsh mellows are something my grandson would love -- I think raisins would be great too!

    Slow Cooker Candy~*~*~Posted by: lindachicken__Oklahoma Replies: 9 Posted on: 6/14/2006 4:45:52 PM#T685802

    ~Slow Cooker Candy~

1 box German chocolate cooking chocolate
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
48 oz. almond bark OR 24 oz. almond bark and 24 oz. milk chocolate bark
1 (16 oz.) jar dry roasted unsalted peanuts
1 (16 oz.) jar dry roasted salted peanuts

Chop all chocolates and place into a slow cooker. Pour peanuts over.

Cover and turn onto low and allow to cook without interruptions for 3 hours.

DO NOT OPEN THE LID. DO NOT STIR. DO NOT DO ANYTHING.

After 3 hours, spread several cookie sheets with waxed paper. Turn off slow cooker, uncover and stir contents for four or five minutes or until completely blended. Chocolate will not lose its shine.

Using a soup spoon, dip up candy and drop onto waxed paper. You may want to stir pot several times while dipping out the candy.

Allow to cool and you are ready to eat. There is no need to refrigerate this candy.

    ~~Hugs, LindaChicken

    You're welcome LindaC.

I like to make this someday. The only problem is that I'm afraid I'll eat most of it.

These sound great, trying this afternoon. Just happen to have all the ingredients in pantry.

Question ? How do I print a recipe withour copying 20 pages of other "stuff"?

Sway all you have to do is Highlight the recipe you want to print..

Go up to File and click on Print on the drop down menu..

When the Print window comes up click on selection and then print. Only the selected copy you highlighted will print.

    Try it.
