Have you used the commercial products made specifically for stovetops? Corning makes one, I think. Maybe you can do a baking soda paste? Can you contact kenmore?

Yes, I have tried those but nothing is giving. I even used a razorblade to scrap some gunk off,but it didn't even make a dent in the fried on grease. You know the whole kitchen can be cleaned and looking at the stovetop just makes the kitchen seem dirty still. Thanks for replying

I have a Kenmore glass top also and have never had any trouble cleaning it. I use the cleaner they sell and the sponge with the kind of scratchy side that they recommmend. Is yours solid black? I've heard they are much harder to keep clean. Mine is black with white specs. I use windex on it just to shine it up too and have never had a problem.

I'd contact Sears and ask them what to do.

I have a Kenmore black glass stovetop range and never use soap on it, but it cleans beautifully.

I use paper towels with hot water to remove most of whatever spilled on it. Then follow that with the commercial glass stove top cleaner (Cook Top Cleaning Cream) bought at the grocery store. I apply the stovetop cleaner and then wet a Scotch Bright (has the blue scratchy side) and polish with that, then wipe clean with paper towels. It always cleans beautifully.

I didn't know about the Windex, but that sounds like a good idea too after you get it cleaned.

I agree with the previous post. If none of this works, call Sears and ask them what to do. Good luck.

Thanks for the ideas. Yes, mine is solid black and I read the care manual and it said never to use glass cleaner on it.I guess they are coated with a silicone type if coating. I will try the scotch brite pad today.

I also use dawn foam on mine just rub it in and let it set for a bit, cuts grease wonderfully, Then I scrub with my Mr Clean magic eraser.
Rinse off well, and then spay with windex. If it get spots then i use a razor blade.
    Hope this helps

    Try:
    - Bar Keepers Friend (a scratchless cleanser)
    - Baking soda
    - Razor blade, gently scraping stuck on residue before using cleanser

I have used all of the above, along side the stovetop cleaner that came with my stove.

Fuller Brush has Fulsol wipes available on QVC. Haven't used them but the demonstration is fantastic.
