    Nacho ??

    Hi All,

Friday night I am planning to have nacho's for dinner. I want to use the sizzler type pans and have my family make their own with their toppings. My question is, these are the pans that will hold heat and come with a protective platter to serve. Should I preheat the platters before we build the nachos? Or heat and serve? What would be a good temp to get HOT but not brown the cheese? Thanks a bunch for any help.

We always just make ours on regular Corelle dinner plates and microwave each one as they're made to melt the cheese on them.

Have you ever tried artificial crab on your nachos? YUM!

A trick I learned is to put your chips on the plate, top them with some shredded cheese, put your topping on, then top with more cheese before microwaving.
Before we started putting the first layer of cheese on, our toppings used to slide off our chips.

My son likes shredded cheese, so I put his in the microwave to melt (on top of the chips) However I mix velveta with some salsa melt in the microwave, in the mean time I heat the chips up in the oven-- I use a cookie sheet, but you could put yours on the platter top it with the chees and toppings and keep an eye on it, I would start with 450 oven, thats what you do for pizza, but it will only take about 5 minutes.
