    Mushroom Casserole



    1/4 pound fresh mushrooms

    8 ounce Mozzarella cheese, shredded

    2 scallions, chopped

    1 stick butter

    4 slices crumbled bread

    1/2 cup sour cream

    8 ounce Cheddar cheese, shredded

    Garlic powder and pepper, to taste



    Clean the mushrooms, separate the stems from the caps. Chop up stems and place in a skillet; sauté in butter with the scallons. Stir in the garlic powder and pepper. Add the bread crumbs and sour cream. Add mushroom caps and mix well. In a buttered or "Pam" sprayed casserole dish, alternate the cheeses and mushroom mixture, ending with the cheese. Garnish with paprika, if desired. Bake at 350-degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until well heated.
