    REcipe for STUFFED PEPPER CASSEROLE

    STUFFED PEPPER CASSEROLE
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 green peppers, cut into strips
    2 c. water
    1 c. uncooked white rice
    26 oz. spaghetti sauce
    3/4 c. Parmesan cheese, divided

    Preheat oven to 350°.
    Brown meat in pan with peppers, set aside.
    Meanwhile, bring water to a boil. Add rice, lower heat and cover. Simmer for about 20 minutes or until water has been absorbed.
    Stir rice into ground meat mixture. Add spaghetti sauce and 1/2 cup grated cheese. Stir well.
    Spoon mixture into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c. grated cheese. Cover and bake 30 minutes.
    Remomve lid and bake an additional; 5 minutes.

    as you can see, my finger stuttered on peppers in the bump Marlene!
