rriley1976, What an awesome idea for a post. I have been reading through these recipes and trying to think if indeed I have 1 favorite, when I figure out which one I will post it. I am going to have to learn how to cut, copy, paste and print these as my hand is getting tired of writing them out there are so many great recipes here! Just wanted to let ya know you had a great idea here.....and of course to thank you for sharing it with all of us.

By far my most requested recipe. Comes from Cleadon's Restaurant in Napa, California. Enjoy.

    Cleadon's Peach Cake

    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening (I use crisco butter sticks)
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 egg
    1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups diced peaches (canned, fresh, frozen - doesn't matter)

    Topping:
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Sift together flour, baking soda & salt - set aside. In mixer, beat together sugar and shortening until creamy. Blend in buttermilk, egg and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently stir in peaches. Pour batter in greased 11-inch by 7-inch baking dish. In small bowl combine topping ingredients & sprinkle over cake. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Makes eight servings. YUM!! Kris

    Biteme2fool,

Click with your mouse and drag highligting the text. Then hit Ctrl C to copy. Open a new Word document and hit Ctrl V to paste. Or right click with mouse for copy/paste selections.

If you do not use a mouse.... then hold shift key and move arrows to select/highlight the text.

(when using a mouse click... using fore finger on the left button, hold down and drag or move arrow/cursor to select/highlight text. When you have it let go of the left mouse button with left forefinger. Now you can use the Ctrl commands or right click on top of selected text, click and release right button on mouse, a window will open and you move your arrow/cursor over COPY and click (left button on mouse) to select. Then open word or your notepad and right click again, select PASTE this time and TADA you have the recipe right where you want it)

I know this is alot of gabber but have no idea how much or how little someone else understands so figured I might as well say it all... which isn't easy. LOL Oh well Good Luck

Thank goodness it has been a slow day here at work, I have spent most of it on this BB which I found this morning. I love this thread and have copied many recipes already. On the week end I try to cook up hamburger and keep in freezer and try to make at least three casseroles for the fridge for the first one home to pop in the oven. I have a question for Carrie in Kansas about her Aunt Mildreds Spaghetti, how much white sauce do you make? One more question, what the heck does bump mean? Keep them coming!

I still haven't even managed to read all this thread but here is my favorite cookie:

    Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

    3/4 cup butter or margarine
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 cups sifted flour
    1 teaspoon soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1-1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup raisins (I think chocolate chips are just as good!)

Cream together butter, peanut butter, and sugars until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; blend well. Add dry ingredients, blend in oats and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased sheets. Bake at 350° about 12 minutes.
