Need the most raved about recipes on this BB

I need to give my Daughter some recipes that everyone has raved about.

    Like the cream cheese chicken....
Can anyone help me on this?? She's having some company that she really needs to impress.

Any help and any type of food would be great. I haven't been on here much and I know I've missed some great ones.

    Thank you in advance..

    Toot away dear!!

Thank you, the poor girl is a very pretty girl she's really smart and never had a desire to cook.

How she came from my house I still don't know. She always said she'd have a good enough job she'd go out and eat,

Now she has really been getting into cooking. I live to far away to run up there and fix a feast. LOL

Linda: I have made the Cream Cheese Chicken & it was very good. I did find I needed (or at least "wanted") a little more broth in mine.
By the way, could you tell me where to go to find a cute Schnauzer to put on my e-mails (just a copy/paste)?
I can't seem to find one. Thanks.

What about the Eva Claiborne's hen and dressing... that seems to be the most raved about recipe. It would be great for company. I like to serve roasted chicken on the side. It is good !

I also really loved the Pork Chops with Apples and Stuffing. That was a very very good meal and a new favorite of mine! AND I Don't normally like cooked apples!

The Amish Apple Brownies were talked about and my family liked them.

I did a thread a while back about potatoes that had some great recipes in it...alot that I'm going to try.

Good Luck, I'm putting together recipes for my little brother and his financee....

    #T33666
2 pkgs (8 oz) cream cheese
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 cup sour cream
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/4 tsp almond extract
    1/2 pint whipping cream
    1 TBS sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
1 angel food cake, torn into bite sized pieces
    2 quarts fresh strawberries, sliced
    3 TBS sugar
In large bowl, cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar; add sour cream, vanilla, and almond extract. Set aside. In small deep bowl, whip the cream, vanilla, and sugar. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Add cake pieces and fold lightly, set aside. Combine strawberries and sugar. Layer in large glass bowl (this is a very pretty dessert) starting with strawberries, then cake pieces. Continue layering until finished, 3 or 4 layers is good (depends on you bowl). Finish with strawberries on top and garnish with additional whipped cream if you want. Cover and chill well. Makes 24 servings
I have used low fat cream cheese and sour cream with good results. I have also made this with fresh peaches instead of the strawberries. I use Cool Whip instead of the whipping cream too.

Thanks Linda. I'll go to google.
As long as you are adding Meatloaves, the following one posted by Robin is the best I've ever had, & believe me, I've tried them all ofor 50 years! As you can see, you can do a variety of things with it. Have only made the Meatloaf though.

    TOH bb/rabernet
I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com called Mixture for meatballs, Meatloaf or Burgers submitted by Peter Gerry. It's the only meatloaf I will ever make. I made a couple of changes to the recipe (added a yummy glaze). Friends have thrown out their old ones! Following is the recipe as posted on Allrecipes.com and my changes in parenthesis.
From Tam: This is my DH's very favorite over dozens I've made in the past! So moist-----yummy.
Mixture for Meatballs, Meatloaf or Burgers
    2 # ground beef
    3 eggs
4 sl’s white bread (soaked in water, squeezed out and broken into tiny pieces
    1 t dried parsley
1/2 c grated Romano cheese (Parmesan, or a mix)
    1/2 c minced onion
    salt/pepper to taste
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread, eggs, cheese, parsley & onion; season with salt & pepper.
For meatballs: Form mixture into golf size balls; brown in a large skillet 5-10 mins, or until well browned. Add to your favorite spaghetti sauce and simmer until meatballs are completely cooked through, about 15 to 20 minutes.
For meatloaf: Preheat oven to 350. Add 3 T ketchup to mixture, mix well, form into a loaf and place in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake for 75 to 90 minutes.
For burgers: Add 3 to 4 tT steak sauce to mixture, mix well; form into patties. Saute in a large skillet over med heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until desired doneness.
(Here's the Glaze that I add from the Glazed Meatloaf recipe submitted to Allrecipes.com by Delia Martinez)
(I (Tam) increased Glaze--also used 8x8 glass dish & cooked 20 mins after Glaze was on)
1/2 cup ketchup 1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 T lemon juice 1 t mustard powder.
Mix this in small bowl then put on meatloaf about 10 mins before meatloaf

Nothing fancy. Her Husband always ask me why she didn't learn to cook.

What she needs is something to knock their socks off but not easy to mess up. LOL
