I posted this yesterday, but I'll post it again for those who stop in today.

It's time to get ready for our Christmas card exchange and everyone is invited to participate - if you so choose.

For the past few years, some of us have been exchanging cards at this time of year and I was getting ready to send out an updated list for everyone... then I realized I forgot to ask all the new folks if they want to be included.

So.... if you've joined our group sometime since last January, and you want more me to add you to the list, please email ASAP....

    Send an email to
    hauke@shaw.ca
    and please put
    DC cards
in the subject so I can identify you as from our group.

I'd really like to get this list out this week, and I'm sorry I left this to the last minute. November just went to fast. Please contact me so I can email the information about our list.

Hi Everyone As you might have noticed I have been out for awhile. first it was the headache and was in bed 2 days, still have it but it isn't bad, had to go to the Dr on Tuesday & that is the day it had snowed didn't really want to go but did & made it fine but saw 2 wrecks, one was a van way over the hill hundreds of feet down so went and reported it & then there was a cement truck upside down right by the Dam, it took them 2 hours to cut him out but he was okay, then yesterday 2 more people wrecked near where I saw the van,one was not wearing a seat belt & was thrown out was hurt bad I haven't heard if any one was hurt in the one I reported & then there was ahead on crash here with 2 local people but they weren't hurt too bad.
    Probably all weather related.
Karen we didn't get as much snow as you which is strange, most of it went on east of you into the Blues and Basin area.
I went up today and we sat up all the tables and put names on them for the craft fair tomorrow, I hung all my quilts and laid other things out on the table so am ready for morning. That way I will be avalable to help any one else or to "boss " everyone, the girls insisted that I am in charge so I told them to get busy then and decorate!!!
Hauke, yes my address is still the same.
I have to go into Spokane Monday for some tests on Tuesday, they want to do an ultra sound on my kidneys.
I am going to miss my last diabetic class, it was suppose to be tomorrow & I had someone to watch my table but the gal called & said she had to put her car in the garage so changed it till Tuesday, one of the gals was going to try and get in touch with the gal and see if she would change it as they are giving tennis shoes to the ones who have attended all classes & Lula & I are the only ones who would have got a pair so Barb said it wasn't fair that I not get them so she is going to let me know if she could get her phone # she lives about 100 miles away.
Laurie went to Chicago today for her last day at work & will start at N D Monday.

Up late and waiting for my daughter. She has been working so hard lately. Been putting in 75-plus hours a week. I worry so much about her as I know how hard it is on her. She sleeps alot lately and her sisters wonder why. ????, I can't imagine why? They sometimes make me so mad.

I finally broke down and used the church van for the children. Wow, was it great. They were not on top on me and instead of making two trips I was done and home Wednesday night by 9:00 after Church. Plus, they all had so much room. They really liked it. The Pastor told me next Wednesday to come after at 3 and take it home to use to pick them all up. Leave my car at the church. This coming week, it is exactly what I am going to do.

Well, I must be getting to bed as my DD is due at 5 and she wants me to go to Wal-mart as she hasn't been able to spend any time with me and thought it would be great if we could. Hoping I can get back up as I just can't do what I use to.

    Annette :)

    Good Morning EVERYONE!!!!!

I want to get started with the cards this weekend or so. I am hoping to get quite a few out and time seems to get in the way of all that needs to be accomplished this week. I just do a few at a time at night or whenever I feel like it. Also on the schedule this weekend is getting the packages ready to be mailed for Christmas.

I guess today is Walmart, the hairdresser and some groceries shopping.

I had the most awful dream last night. I am still shock up about it. I don't usually have nightmares or dream that much, but this one, scared me.

Marge I am glad your headache is somewhat better. I hope your craft show goes well for you. Weather related accidents are scary and if I was traveling and saw what you just saw, I would be very upset too. People just don't take their time, I guess.

Good Morning Annette!!! Hope you and your DD enjoyed your Walmart shopping trip!! You daughter must be exhausted working all those long hours. I was glad to see that you got such a nice swap package. Some of those recipes that were posted from the swaps sound really good too. I am getting ready to mail my Secret Sister's reveil package soon...I hate to see this round end!!!

Good Morning Michelle, if you peek in this morning!!!! The coffee is GREAT, like always. I am gulping down the second cup.

Wishing you ALL a GREAT day!! TGIF...I am not sure...Time goes too fast!!!

    Mary

Good Morning all!!! I'm just thrilled to be able to stop in this morning (even tho I work tonite LOL).

Mary my coffee is brewing right now. Should be done shortly. I'd like to get a bunch of cards out early next week. That's my goal.

Today I HAVE to do some laundry. I'm going to need that oxygen tank to reach the top of the mountain again LOL. I'd also like to get the "fake" tree up in the dinning room. I do it in a theme of "Candy Land" with candy canes, clay gingerbread men/women, glass candy shapped ornaments, red and white stripped ribbon,....... you get the idea.

Oh, Coffee's done - hang on a minute ok??? Cathy's chatty but I need that Java!!!

Sandy – I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry you lost all your labels. I'm sure that took a while to compile. I hope you do find it somewhere so you don't have to recreate it. That flu bug is one sure way to lose weight, but I don't think I want to feel that way.

Nancy – Congratulations on your weight loss. You were good to resist the bread, especially fresh baked. What a treat that was. It sounds like you had a good time at the Packer store. Yes you have to draw the line at where fan loyalty goes! *lol* I hope you don't get that much snow Saturday. They are saying we will have "precipitation", probably starting as sleet/snow, but then changing to all rain overnight.

Michele – Congratulations on your great weight loss! I meant to do laundry last night and forgot all about it until about 9:00 last night. I wasn't about to start it then. So I put the laundry basket in the dining area so I'll be sure to see it when I get home and will do it first thing.

Hauke – Hmm, turkey and chocolate are definitely quite a combination. TGIF for sure! The week went fast but I'm ready for it to be over, at least at work. I have a lot to do at home. Its so nice to see you more often. Please tell DD she has to leave the lap top for you from now on.

Marge – I was wondering if you made it to the Dam okay. I remember you had said they were calling for snow. I'm glad you got there and back safely. I hope the craft fair is a big success. I hope you are able to get the tennis shoes. That wouldn't be fair if you didn't. Good luck to Laurie as she starts her new job. She must be so excited.

Annette – I'm glad you used the church van. I would definitely use it each week. That is so much easier for you. Have a nice time with your DD.

Mary – I'm sorry you had the nightmare. Sometimes they can be so real and then you don't want to go back to sleep. I hope you get everything done on your list today.

Has anybody else had problems with this board? I noticed it yesterday. It says it is "DONE", but there's nothing to see. So I hit "refresh" and then it loads. It also did it on my home computer. Maybe they are working on the new board so that is affecting this one.
Hopefully I will work on the tree tonight. I just haven't gotten to it this week, like I had planned. I should be able to get the decorations on the tree. Then I have a stand to put up for my water globes and music boxes. I also have another ledge that I put things on. So I will get that all done tomorrow. Then my brother and his family come for dinner on Sunday. I will get started on my cards in between everything else. Also, the guy is going to come finish working on the yard if the weather is okay. He says it needs to be over 40 degrees. I think the high tomorrow is 40, but in the 50's on Sunday, but rain on Sunday. So I don't know when he is coming.
Everybody have a good day. *whispering* We're supposedly getting our Christmas bonus today here at work. Yippee!

    Good Morning, all ~~

Marg, if I had seen all those accidents, I would have turned back and gone home. That's enough to scare anybody. Know your daughter has to be so excited about the move and new job.

Well, I searched and searched, but to no avail. So, late last night I started typing addresses again. And, yes Joyce, I had Christmas music playing softly in the background! I'm not done, but the majority is in the computor, just waiting to print. I am sure glad I discovered the problem now, and not closer to Christmas.

I haven't looked to see what the temp. is, but it is grey and gloomy. We have only had a very small amount snow so far, and would sure like some before Christmas. It will be a year ago tomorrow that I was discharged from the hospital, and THAT day we had 12" of snow. No thanks, I don't want a repeat of that!

Well, I am hungry and in great need of some hot coffee, so will talk again later...........

    Good morning, everyone.

    HAUKE, same info for me.

MARGE, sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Good luck with the show.

ANNETTE, glad the church van is available for you to pick up the children. Have a nice shopping trek with DD.

MARY, I think we will all be doing some cards. Let's turn the music on like JOYCE does. I got my SS pkg. out, because mine takes a while to get where it's going.

MICHELE, nice having the laptop handy. The tree theme sounds great.

JOYCE, getting your collections out is a good step, too. Is there a special music box you treasure?

SANDY, I like having my lists, but it's a pain for me to enter all the info. So, good for you for getting yours done. We had a big snow at this time last year, too. I remember, 10" on Dec. 1st.

A couple of errands to do before the precip starts. And, I guess we will have it all, snow, rain, sleet.

    ♥Nancy Z.
